Vong — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

Vong is a wonderful and special place with great service and awesome food! We had a Vietnamese Beach dish and it was above all our expectations! We love Asian food and consider ourselves quite the experts in this field, and we were most pleasantly surprised by rich yet delicate, complex yet refined taste of this dish. Then we had a perfectly brewed cup of coffee with mango mousse served with white chocolate and passionflower syrup on coconut meringue base and it was also delightful and very refreshing. We strongly recommend this place to everyone who loves and understands Asian cuisine! UPDATE! We went there again and wasn't disappointed! The food was delicious (this time we had two hottest noodle dishes, and they were totally different but superb in taste), the desserts were made in Heaven, really, we don't remember tasting something as delicate, balanced and rich as these desserts. We were especially delighted by their professional, fast, considerate and extremely friendly service. Good service is rather hard to find here in Israel, but in Vong it was exceptionally grand! Now Vong is one of our favorite restaurants and we heartily recommend this place...

One of the finest restaurants I dined lately. The vibe is great, young crowd and obviously noisy. The chairs and walls decoration remind of a street restaurant but the food and service is superior. The All in the Sea soup excelled but the rest were perfect and tasty as well. My wife and I shared everything as suggested. We ordered the banana dessert and received the Mango mousse OTH. Personally I think the mousse is the best dessert and also the most beautiful - great colors and presentation. The prices are very reasonable compared to other near by restaurants and some dishes were lowered in price compared to a 2017 menu I found. We will surely...

אהבתי, אך אני חוששת שזו לא המסעדה הוייאטנמית הכי טובה שיש. ישבנו הערב אני החצי הטוב יותר שלי, בתי הבכורה והקטנה. הזמנו מלא מנות (כתמיד). אני הזמנתי מנת באן מאודה עם דג. מנה פחות מוצלחת. הדג היה חסר ייחוד (פשוט דג מטוגן עם מעטה פריך), אפילו לא הומלח מספיק. לדעתי אם היו מוסיפים הרבה יותר מהאיולי במנה, המנה היתה קופצת בכמה רמות (או לכל הפחות להוסיף משהו חמצמץ שייתן רובד נוסף). להבדיל מהבאן של הדג, הבאן טלה היה מעולה. לחמנייה מאודה עם בשר טלה רך שמונח עם כוסברה טרייה ופלפל צ'ילי עם בצל סגול. בעלי הזמין סלט פאפאיה עם שרימפס ובתי הבכורה סלט פאפאיה צמחוני. המנה הצמחונית היתה לא מוצלחת (יש סיכוי שברוטב היה מלון, או איזשהו פרי הדר? ) משהו בתיבול פשוט לא עבד. לעומת זאת מנת הפאפיה שרימפס היתה נהדרת (אם כי מעט מתוקה מדי לטעמי). שתי בנותיי הזמינו פאד תאי וייאטנמי. המנות היו בסך הכל טובות, אך בתי סיננה מכיוונה- "פאד- תאי, זו מנה תאילנדית לחלוטין, איך הם החליטו שזו מנה וייאטנמית והיכן השינוי"? (חודש בתאילנד מעלה את רמת הציפיות, גם כשמדובר במנה תאילנדית במסעדה וייאטנמית). אני הזמנתי מנה שנקראת מלכת הים. מנה בנלית למדיי. לא ברור מאיזו ממלכה נלקחה המלכה (מנה) הזו. אטריות שעועית רחבות מגולגלות ברוטב ים עם חתיכות דג לבן ושרימפס. המנה היתה אמורה להיות מוגשת עם ירקות וכוסברה, אך לא היה זכר לכוסברה, אז ביקשתי שייתנו לי בנפרד. המנה לא התרוממה לשום מקום. הביס הראשון היה זהה (ומשעמם) לזה האחרון. בעלי הזמין כמנה עיקרית אטריות ביצים בקארי צהוב. מנה מעולה (זה רק נדמה לי, או שבעלי תמיד מזמין מנות מוצלחות משלי? 🤨). לקינוח הזמנו טפיוקה לבנה (שהגיעה עם חתיכות מלון כתום, בוטנים מסוכרים ורוטב קוקוס לבן)- מנה מצויינת. קינוח נוסף שהזמנו הוא קינוח הבננה והקרמל (בננה רוטי בקיצור נמרץ). כמו שהמלצרית החביבה אמרה לנו, הקינוח הכי טעים פה ואכן, הבננה הגיעה חמה ומקורמלת עם טיפות של חלב מרוכז קצפת ומעליה שקדים קלויים... אח... קינוח נהדר. הזמנו שלושה בקבוקי שתייה ולימונדה אחת. החשבון הגיע לסכום של 606 שח. היה בסך הכל טעים, אך כאמור, במנות היה חסר את אפקט ה"זינג" שיש במנות אסייתיות בשפע....
