Terrible dining experience. The food was poor in both quality and quantity considering the price they were charging. First we were brought the prawn starter which I must admit was quite nice. The grilled pork I had ordered for mains was beyond poor. Despite waiting close to 45 minutes I was given possibly the worse meal I have had in the 4 weeks of being in Italy. There were a measly 4 slices of extremely thinly sliced grilled pork pieces costing €18. I honestly believe there was more pork in the form of bacon in the club sandwhich then there was in the pork main course. Overall for the price we were charged I am beyond disappointed. I will say however that the staff were lovely and as current residents of the hotel we absolutely love it here. I'll start with the good things. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and whilst their English is not the best I don't consider this a problem as they are not obliged to speak a foreign language. The restaurant is clean and very presentable. Now onto the bad things. The food was generally disappointing. When eating out you expect a higher quality than what you can make at home, or at least on par with it. It was bland and tasteless. We received a small dish before our starter which we didn't ask for (squid and courgette) and this was unknowingly added to our bill. The squid main meal was very tough and rubbery, and the pasta with aubergine in tomato sauce was watery and tasteless. I didn't bother finishing the main course and left. Terrible dining experience. The food was very poor quality, tasteless and basic considering the price they were charging. First we were brought a starter we didn't order which we were charge for. Then we had our actual starters which were very average. The main meal was very poor my partner had calamari but the squid was tough and chewy, I had a basic cheese tomato and aubergine pasta which was tasteless and that I could have made far better at home. The menu is very limited unless you like fish. Overall for the price we were charged we were very disappointed. I will say the staff were lovely and the hotel it's connected to is fantastic.
