We went there on a Saturday night, looking for a place for a late dinner after travelling from Taormina. It made a positive impression at the start, crowded with local people. Pizza was okay BUT: We waited for 3 pizzas for 1.5 hours (!) Waiters/owner do not speak English at all and they did not care about us waiting long time at all, only about Italians sitting at nearby tables After over 1 hour we asked for some olives as we were starving, the waitress said ‘no’ and brought us chips and salty nuts. Btw we had olives on the pizzas later Wine glasses were dirty Finally after 2hours (including 1.5h of waiting) we wanted to pay and asked for the bill. Instead we got a piece of paper with hand-written order. We insisted on getting an actual bill from the cashier, the owner did not know how to use it (took at least 10 minutes) and we ended up with receiving the bill but with no orders itemized only one position ( I wonder how much taxes they avoid paying this way)
So far the worst restaurant...
Read moreA FUIR d’urgence !
AVOID urgently! Thank you for the "Va Fa Enc*" from the boss! In Italian, speaking to his colleague, he said that the French, the Spaniards, it was all the same… in short: foreigners, urgently flee this bad restaurant! (One of the worst in Italy?)
Served after an hour and a half for 3 salads of tomatoes that were absolutely not ripe (hard and sour), a canned caponata (?), never had our pizza, and while serving the waitress spilled the oil from the tomatoes on my shorts. So we asked for the bill and left. At least 7 or 8 people serving for maybe 30-40 people in the restaurant. Certainly overwhelmed (but by what?), in any case, AVOID!
EVITARE urgentemente!
Read moreMy wife and I had a fantastic time at Belly Po. We stopped there for lunch and met Renaldo (I hope I am saying his name correct). We do not speak any Italian and he did not know much English so we communicated through Google translate. It was such a good time we went back for dinner. Prices are reasonable and the positions were good. He was very attentive to us as well as the rest of the staff. I highly recommend this place for a visit if you are here. BTW, easy...
