We had dinner here on August 1st, 2013 it had been a warm and sunny day and it was still warm when we arrived in the restaurant around 20:30. But the open windows and a fresh breeze now and then created the perfect ambiance.

The food and presentation were just great, a bug failure however seemed to be the absence of someone in charge of the kitchen and service. The waiters (a cute waitress in our case) were doing a good job but after having ordered 2 dishes based on Funghi Porcini we got notified there were no Funghi anymore. Can happen, no big problem, we choose a different pasta dish and adapted the tournedos from Funghi to naturel. Surprise, surprise... When the tournedos arrived it was covered with Funghi. Just before the main courses arrived we were advised that there were no rabbits left anymore, so at the last moment we had to switch... Big error in the kitchen communication. When ordering 2 different main courses 1 rabbit appeared to have returned... Even bigger communication mistake imho.

No real apologies were made, no one responsible showed up and everything seemed to have been billed (not even coffee or limoncello were on the house to say sorry). Mistakes like this can happen, no problem, but do try to make up and apologize.

Conclusion: a great place, great kitchen but a real CHEF and MAITRE are missing. Without these errors I would've given 5...

During my recent visit to Alassio I had the pleasure of dining at the exquisite La Vigna restaurant, and I must say it was an absolute culinary delight. Très mauvaise expérience malgré que ce ne soit pas la première fois que nous fréquentons cet établissement. Pour le 15 août nous avons réservé 1 mois 1/2 à l’avance avec CC pour confirmation. Nous arrivons et avons une table en seconde file ce qui voulait dire que nous n’allions pas voir les feux d’artifices si ce n’est en se déplaçant à l’extérieur. Nous demandons à changer de place et on nous réponds que ce n’est pas possible. Nous commandons une assiette de pâtes « allo scoglio », un poulpe et purée de patate et une assiette de patanegra en entrée et un poisson loup de 900gr/1kg environ après nous l’avoir fait choisir (aucune confirmation de poids nous est arrivée) nous choisissons la cuisson « al sale ». Après 5mins les pâtes, le patanegra et le poulpe arrivent ce qui nous étonnes dans la rapidité de la préparation. Les plats chauds étaient presque froid. Ça nous étonne mais avions faim donc ne disons rien. Le patanegra était servi dans un plat à 27€ la portion et nous nous rendons compte sans avoir goûté celui-ci qu’il était sous vide quand dans un restaurant de ce niveau on s’attends à un découpage au couteau. La soirée continue, il nous arrive 4 assiettes plates chaudes vide et deux assiettes (nous étions 4) avec du poissons et des légumes. Nous demandons pour qu’elle raison nous avons 2 assiettes et la serveuse nous réponds que c’est comme ça! Nous disons que nous n’avons pas demandé deux assiettes mais que le poisson était pour 4 donc nous désirions 4 assiettes, on nous réponds que c’est comme ça et c’est normal. Nous en profitons pour dire à la serveuse que nous n’avons même pas vu le poisson cuit et le nettoyage de celui-ci et en profitons pour lui parler des entrées arrivées plus que tièdes. Elle part et arrive le maître de salle vraiment vraiment AUTAIN dans ses réponses arrivant jusqu’à dire que « nous avions peut être quelque chose à cacher car lui n’avait rien à cacher ». Incroyable. Nous demandons pour qu’elle raison un plateau avec le poisson cuit d’une autre table vient de passer devant nous, montré aux clients et nettoyé devant eux et nous nous avons eu un tout autre traitement. La réponse a été qu’il n’avait pas de réponse à nous donner. Scandaleux comme réponse. Vu la quantité dans les deux assiettes nous ne sommes pas sûre que ce soit notre poisson commandé.
