Enny coffee&food — Restaurant in Alcamo

On my way too early for a meeting I was to attend, my driver brought me to Enny Camere to stay with lots of windows for light and views (and blackout curtains for sleeping). There is an elevator since all rooms (13) are on the second floor and above. This room was outfitted with a double and two single beds. There is also AC. The room was very spacious and clean with a large bathroom as well for 40 euros, breakfast included next door to Cafe Enny. No rush in paying for my room as I offered several times. “Later,” she said. By the way, when you enter the building, you lock yourself in, so it is a very safe feeling—important for this single lady traveler!

Cafe Enny seems to have mixed reviews but for me, it was excellent with an assortment from meated pastries to more traditional faire. I chose a ham and mild cheese-filled one that was light, yet enough to be content—and chose a filled beignet horn with the lightest, fluffiest vanilla custard to go. Other reviewers commented on the capacchino, so that was the drink of choice. There is indoor and outdoor covered seating. The staff was courteous and took time to understand my English-only requests.

They’re doing something right as they were full of delivery, fire personnel and other service people as though it was the local gathering spot.

I am very happy to have found this place. For the lunch time they have some vegetarian options (see the pics attached) and for me, as vegetarian, it is a heaven. It is so difficult to find a proper food for vegetarians if you don’t eat “flour products”.

The food is being made everyday for the lunchtime, therefore you see what you order and you eat it just after 3 minutes you entered the place.

If you want fast, uncomplicated, reasonable priced and good quality lunch - come here.

But be aware, If you come too late (around 16) you will be able to order only deserts and drinks.

The acommodation was pretty good. Big minus for the Breakfast, you can choose just one thing to eat and one thing to drink. Water is served in little plastic cup.
