If you go to Felline - and please go, because it is just a beautiful place to go - you HAVE TO visit this place! The food is out of this world: the menu simple and reduced. A festival for vegetarians and vegans. But meat and fish lover will join this celebration. It is run by a brother and sister and both are just wonderful people who know what they are doing! The wine selection is exquisite, and Maria, is also making her own wine (which is on the list, too). The cook is an artist and every time the food tastes different but every time fantastic! Even though, I had been there for just one time, , I ordered a table for my husband and me for my birthday celebration. They were so attentive! They remembered that it was my birthday, had made some specials which were not listet on the menu and surprised me with cake! I was speechless and my heart opened up! Being curious, we had to visit other places in Felline too. Some average, the fish place was good too, but Vito Colta is just the best place to go! All the best for them and much love...
Read moreMagical place! Was one of the culinary highlights in Puglia for me. The staff was soo welcoming and friendly (they speak English really well) and told us a lot about the foods and wines. They were super down to earth, and just love to discuss good food - I love that. They have a lot of regional dishes that were super special. I tried horse tripe for the first time and it was super delicious. The other dishes were too. It’s situated in a cute village that has a magical atmosphere.
Wine wise they make their own wines - unfortunately most of them were sold out but their Primitivo was great. We also had a bottle of Verdecca which was of a friend of theirs, it was out of this world. I had to drive home so couldn’t go to crazy, so I recommend you stay in the village or get someone to drive you haha. We had a digestive that was almond liquor and was amazing too.
Its run by a family, everyone is doing something culinary and they all have...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful restaurant in the historic center of Felline, and it was truly a delightful experience. The owners were unbelievably nice and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
They had an impressive selection of wines, all from their own vineyard, which added a personal touch to the evening. The menu was very typical of the region, and the staff provided excellent explanations of the different dishes and wine pairings.
I must say, the pasta dish I ordered was one of the best I've ever had, and the blend of Negroamaro and Primitivo wine as a companion was a perfect match.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience. It's a hidden gem in Felline that you...
