I’m honestly surprised by all of the great reviews. My husband and I went last night at the recommendation of our hotel, and it seems clear they get paid to steer guests there. My husband ordered the seafood risotto which was actually really flavorful but the quantity of fish in the dish compared to the price just didn’t have the value I would have expected. I had one of the pasta specials, but wasn’t very hungry and after a few bites asked for it to be wrapped to go. At the end of the meal, I asked for my dinner that I had assumed was packaged and waiting for me to take and to my surprise and horror, they had THROWN OUT my entire €30 meal! And of course made us pay for it anyway. I was livid, and they didn’t offer to replace it or credit the bill. Additionally, I ordered a strawberry cheesecake, only to receive one smothered in Blueberry compote. The cherry on top for the evening was that they played an instrumental version of Whitney Houston’s “Greatest Love” on repeat for 2 HOURS. I’m not exaggerating- not one other song was played the entire time.
I’m sure the views are gorgeous. We had dinner at 9 pm in the dark so I didn’t go for the views and the rest of the experience was...
Read moreThe best pasta on the island, if not in the whole of Italy!
I ordered the handmade green scialtielli ai frutti di mare and it was the best! Cooked perfectly with lots of fresh seafood, especially muscles and clams.
Service was also great. The waiter come out with a plate of the ‘catch of the day’ and explained each fish and the dish that would accompany it. Wait staff were friendly and spoke good English which we appreciated. They also offered us the use of their bus/ shuttle to take us back to our hotel (we were in walking distance so didn’t take them up on the offer).
The view is exceptional and possibly the best on the island. The live music added to the ambiance.
The only thing that could improved was the tiramisu. Not so much a traditional tiramisu as it was very creamy with less of mascarpone taste (but that’s my personal preference).
Would highly recommend when on the island of Capri. I was lovely to have a dinner away from the hustle and bustle of the main parts...
Read moreWe were in Anacapri for just two days and had booked this restaurant almost a month before our arrival. There were multiple issues with our experience.
First, although the restaurant sent a shuttle bus to pick us up at our hotel, it arrived 15 minutes late. When we got to the restaurant, our table was apparently not ready and the waiter made us wait a further 20 minutes without giving us any explanation, place to sit while waiting, or any refreshment.
Second, when we finally got to our table, we ordered our dishes. These were only brought to us 50 minutes later, for pasta and grilled fish. By this time, our white wine had warmed up. Cherry on the cake: they also forgot the side we had ordered along with the fish.
In addition to that puzzling waiting time, we had to ask three times for a water bottle and three times for the bill.
To sum up, a very disappointing experience for a restaurant which looked rather...
