EDIT: I’m laughing because Mr. Ermanno edited his first apologetic reply in order to double down on the poor treatment from his staff. The fact that in order to avoid accountability, you are stating that your staff have somehow transcended the inherent biases and judgments that afflict every human being on this planet is both staggering in its arrogance and laughable in its absurdity. Feel free to provide your email address if you’d like to discuss further.
Have a look at your other reviews btw. Hair in perpetuity and mistreatment are not uncommon themes. Comically bad restaurant. In every way. A place where the servers clearly worship the people they perceive as rich. Which is insane because those same rich people look down on their servers with disgust and contempt 😀. Prices are heinous, atmosphere is the most embarrassing. Every person who enters this place is praying to god that their money grants them but one moment of notoriety to distinguish them from their peers (spoiler: it never comes)
Let’s start with the food:
First things first, my friend found a gorgeous dark brown curly hair at the bottom of her plate (your chefs must use kerastase hair products). That should be enough to deter you/indicate what’s to come.
As for the taste; a complete absence of flavour. If you want to eat bland things PLEASE go here!!! I got the sea bass. I literally could not finish it. I left 75% of it. There was a hard rind (?!) on it, it was cold, it had a horrible oily flavour. I got the amberjack starter. More like AmberLACK of flavour. Can I get some acid? Some salt? No? Got it. But it’s all ok because they were blaring that annoying as hell Madonna x ABBA song 20 times per service ♥️
Now onto the service. The hostesses were amazing. Such sweet and attentive girls, treated us with respect.
Then the actual food service. We came off a 3 hour boat ride, so admittedly we looked a lil rough (shouldn’t matter) and we did not necessarily look like we could afford to eat there compared to the other patrons. The server/staff clearlyyyy thought the same thing. We didn’t get acknowledged until we’d been sitting there for ~20 minutes. They didn’t take our orders for another considerable amount of time. The starter took 30 minutes, our mains another 40 at least. Meanwhile, I saw the table who arrived 45 minutes after us get served INSTANTLY. They also got their mains before we did and were constantly being attended to. While we never even had a dedicated server. I called the head honcho girl with the militant braid hairstyle over, and asked her why we were waiting so long. She said she’d look into it and came back instantly with our ice cold mains ♥️. I asked her why it was suddenly miraculously ready and why it took so long.
She first told me it was because we ordered pasta which takes long (what are you even talking about), and when I pointed out that the OTHER table had also ordered pasta, she then pivoted to the fact that we had ordered appetizers. I pointed out that the OTHER table also had appetizers. I don’t think she expected me to confront her and was clearly annoyed/sheepishly mumbled something and left. It irritated me deeply that instead of just apologizing for bad service, she wanted to fool me into believing that it was MY fault for ordering the way I did. Ma’am, what’s the point of putting on your Zara blazer and straight leg pants every day if you’re not going to commit to the bit and actually run this place like the navy? Lay the uniform to rest, babe. It’s a very simply formula. When you mess up, and someone calls you out for it. Apologize and concede your error and then be silent and leave the premises. Don’t argue with that person and lie to them repeatedly. It is embarrassing for YOU.
I pulled my charge card out to pay for the table and it was only THEN that she insisted we get desserts and started being nice. I declined, of course, and we left. She at least comped us for the curly chest hair dish, so that’s 1 star. Otherwise, boring and corny experience with terrible food. Would not recommend and...
Read moreWe recently dined at Il Riccio on and would like to provide a comprehensive review of my experience: While the coastal view from our table was a treat for the eyes, I expected more attention to detail from the management, especially given the association with esteemed brands like Dior.
Having made a reservation weeks in advance fie dinner, I was surprised to find numerous vacant tables upon arrival. Despite the initial reservation for two, our group of three was graciously accommodated. However, it left me wondering about their reservation system and organizational efficiency.
The gastronomic journey commenced with a selection of cheeses, tomatoes, and artichokes that were delectable. The promptness of service was appreciated, and the culinary offerings were certainly a highlight. The dessert options showcased a commendable variety.
Nonetheless, there were aspects that fell short of expectations. The practice of self-service for wine, although unique, deviated from the customary standards of fine dining establishments. Additionally, the inconspicuous approach to charging for water was an unexpected surprise. As a patron, I would have appreciated more transparent communication regarding such charges. (Upon being seated and before presenting the menu, the waitstaff promptly offers water without explicit mention of the charge, which can come across as slightly invasive. We know-how, Itzaes just water, but A more transparent approach in communicating the charge for water would enhance the overall dining experience, allowing patrons to make informed choices right from the start.)
Moreover, the early closing time of midnight seemed slightly restrictive, considering the enchanting ambiance that Capri offers at night. It would be beneficial for the management to consider extending the hours slightly to accommodate those who wish to linger a bit longer.
Given the association with luxury brands as Dior, I had anticipated a more refined experience. While the cuisine and swift service were noteworthy, I believe thia restaurante has the potential to elevate its offerings further under the guidance of its management. A clearer communication strategy and a closer alignment with the upscale aura of Capri could truly make this establishment...
Read moreWe were recommended this place by three unrelated people, and yeah it's good, but... the price oh my god. For the amount of food you receive it is not worth the price. The crunchy lobster is 80 euro, and you get two small deep fried pieces of lobster, and a small salad in the middle of your plate. It was good but not 80 euro good. It tries to look like Michelin Star quality, but even at those restaurants you get way more food for that price. The scallop appetizer alone was 50 euro. And you get five very beautifully placed scallops. I assume the caviar on top increased the price drastically. They were amazing. But my issue is we both left hungry and unsatisfied. And 250 euros less in our pockets. For TWO dishes, and two glasses of cheap wine. I also must add we had a huge family placed behind my husband's chair. And the amount of people that would squeeze through his chair and the next table was uncountable. His chair was constantly being bumped and moved while he was eating, and people would stay in between that exact spot to check on the worst placed seat for a child. It made us incredibly annoyed. We are not rich, we are not dressed in suits, we are regular people on a vacation who wanted to have a nice lunch, only to be constantly disrupted during our way too expensive meal. No one once even apologized for bumping him so often. And the same guy kept doing it often, I could literally see him bump and move my husband. We are not direct people. But an apology would have been nice, and a better placement would have been appreciated, AND the servers did the same thing. Not a very welcoming feeling. I feel bad leaving such a low review. But come on, this was just unacceptable. I added a photo, this is when we left, my husband was obviously sitting here so the chair would be out a bit more, and people would not stop going through this tiny path, it makes no sense. We were uncomfortable and it definitely made our...
