Taverna Sforza 1910 — Restaurant in Andria

This place is one of the worse. First of all the cooking is not made by an Italian cook. The menu is not very rich and not enough food for you to feel full. They CHARGE you the little plate they bring before you eat what you ordered without telling you!! Also they charge the service 3.5 euro per person also without telling you this. The food isn't so delicious, actually the so called green tomatoes "made in house" have no taste and are hard as an apple!! They want you to think you'll eat well, but it's just a sophisticated plate with wrong made food, little food and also too expensive for what they offer! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Eat elsewhere before you visit the castle!! Also avoid the parking restaurant as well!...

Premetto che sono di Andria ma vivo fuori dalla Puglia da molti anni e andare al castello è sempre una visita molto gradita che faccio ogni volta che scendo giù, ma stavolta ero con la Mia compagna e abbiamo deciso prima di tornare a casa nelle Marche di fargli visitare l’interno del castello visto che nn lo aveva mai visitato internamente. Così appena arrivati visto che era mattino ci siamo fermati a prendere un caffè al volo in taverna, il caffè nella norma niente di esorbitante e tanto più ricercato ma un comunissimo Lavazza, ma pagarlo 1.50€ al banco non ne vedo proprio il motivo, cioè lo capisco per via del posto turistico ma considerando che nel territorio andriese dove lo paghi come in tutte le parti di Italia 1.10€ lo vedo un po’ assurdo. La cosa invece che mi ha lasciato più amareggiato e stata nel vedere il barista di Barletta che non ha fatto altro che parlare in dialetto molto stretto per non farsi capire dai turisti presenti nel locale, in più ha letteralmente preso di mira il Suo collaboratore continuando a rimproverarlo pesantemente per il suo operato davanti a tutti, una scena molto triste. Anch’io sono nel mondo della ristorazione e offendere un collaboratore in pieno servizio davanti alla clientela devo dire che è una scena a dir poco pietosa. Spero che Matteo ( nome del ragazzo offeso) possa trovare altre strade che valorizzino il suo operato e lasci solo a bestemmiare il fantomatico barista. Tornerò al castello sicuramente ma in taverna manco...

The location is amazing, would be much better if the waiters at least dignified you of any attention. I sat at a table before & after my tour guide of ‘Castel del Monte’ and the waiters wouldn’t even make eye contact with me. Compared to the number of tables they have available they should hire more personnel to handle the costumers properly or at least decently. The menu is minimal with only snacks and appetizers, and the whole drinks page is deceiving since they actually serve...
