Quinz Locanda al Lago — Restaurant in Auronzo di Cadore

It’s located in a beautiful place right at Lake Misurina. Unfortunately it rained most of the time I was there until the last evening. The owner did not speak a lot of English but he was super helpful in updating traffic information and helping me plan my route out of the Dolomites as many roads were closed due to landslides that came with the rain. Thank you so much.||The hotel has many features to be great. The room was spacious and clean. A nice desk held a kettle and coffee and tea. There was a separate area with table and chairs. There is a balcony with lake view. The bed is a four poster one and comfortable. There is also a safe in the wardrobe. The bathroom was well equipped and clean with soap and linens.||Overall it was a good and comfortable stay despite the weather. The heating was automatic and the room kept warm. Unfortunately because of the weather the power tripped. It went back up again quickly as the hotel has it’s own generator. The wifi stayed down and that was not good as being stuck in a place wifi is important for information as well as for entertainment. The owner graciously let me use his service line.||I ate lasagna the first night at the restaurant and it was good. I would come back again.||||There was no English channels on tv. Breakfast was...

La stella che do è una, non per il locale, carino fronte lago, cibo discreto e un po caro, ma il mio voto negativo lo do a causa di un "cameriere" in particolare, non so se era il figlio del proprietario e quindi pensava di trattare i clienti in modo maleducato arrogante, il suo comportamento ha irritato sia io e mia moglie ma anche i miei amici, e non parlare come rispondeva anche a altri clienti, vi elenco come si è comportato: per primo ci siamo accomodati al tavolo fronte strada dove c'era un piccolissimo ombrellone, tanto piccolo che siamo stati costretti a spostarlo, alla ricerca dell'ombra (spostare intendo dai 5 ai 10 cm), subito si precipita ancor prima di dire buongiorno anche se non lo ha mai detto, a rimproverarci perchè abbiamo spostato il tavolo, dicendoci se era li c'era un motivo, per poi spostandolo di persona in un modo a dir poco ridicolo, rimettendolo nella posizione "iniziale", e cosi facendo siamo rimasti al sole. Poi viene a raccogliere le ordinazioni ancora più maleducato, arriva a portare le posate e le scaraventa letteralmente difronte al mio amico, senza poi dividercele e andando via subito senza dirci nulla. Sulla nostra richiesta se ci poteva portare del pane o dei crissini, ci ha risposto ad alta voce trattandoci da pezzenti, che noi avevamo ordinato la pizza e quindi niente crissini/pane. Visto che abbiamo pagato € 2,50 a persona di coperto mi sembrava una cosa ovvia che ci li portasse, anche perchè' con tutti i ristoranti che ho girato avevi sempre presente sul tavolo senza chiedere o il pane se mangiavamo altro, o i crissini se mangiavamo la pizza, e con molto meno di coperto e con ristoranti di qualità. Allora li che ci siamo arabiati e anche noi abbiamo cominciato a fare i nostri commenti a voce alta, tanto che alla fine ci è arrivato un camerierre giovani, e di una simpatia unica. Il "cameriere" maleducato non si è più visto, e se ci passava davanti ci ignorava. All'inizio volevamo consumare dolce e caffè, ma dopo questa eperienza lo abbiamo preso da un'altra parte.Volevo fare un'ultima annotazione, dei clienti si sono avvicinati per prendere del gelato artigianale, che lo avevano esposto in strada su un frigo apposito, il "cameriere" sulla richiesta dei clienti si è messo a rispondere che durante il servizio non dava il gelato. Al quanto stupite le due clienti ridendo dell'assurdità, avevano cercato un'altro cameriere che gli potesse dare il gelato, e così fu. UN CONSIGLIO PER IL RISTORATORE,: SE E' SUO FIGLIO LO METTA IN RIGA, SE E' UN SUO DIPENDENTE LO ALLONTANI IMMEDIATAMENTE... Questa cosa non la dice uno che non ha mai avuto a che fare con i clienti, ma uno che ha lavorato ben 15 anni con loro, e so benissimo cosa vuol dire cliente e venditore, il massimo rispetto da uno...
