Trattoria Chapeau — Restaurant in Avola

Pochi giorni fa ho cenato in questa trattoria insieme alla mia compagna, il locale si presentava carino e pulito, non pienissimo visto e considerato che era martedì. Il personale seppur accogliente è risultato poco professionale nella descrizione dei piatti che vengono offerti nel menù, (alla cameriera) se vengono chieste informazioni in merito all'arrosto misto di carne, non si può avere come risposta "... è composto da carne rossa e carne bianca...". Premesso ciò, ogni pietanza che è stata servita si presentava bene all'occhio (che vuole la sua parte), abbiamo iniziato con un tagliere di salumi e formaggi ed altre sfiziosità caratteristiche del luogo, abbastanza abbondante e comunque con prodotti buoni, per poi io continuare con una arrosto misto di pesce, il quale seppur non caldissimo è risultato più che discreto, mentre la mia compagna ha ordinato un risotto alla crema di "scampi" il qualeè stato servito a stento con uno scampo, a riguardo vorrei sottolineare una nota dolente, il proprietario che si è prospettato come una persona gentile e disponibile, nel contempo si è prensentato anche in modo "Gentilarrogante", nella circostanza caro ristoratore se chiede ad una sua cliente il risotto com'è, e le viene risposto che effettivamente non sa di pesce, ma e un buon risotto alla salsa di pomodoro, non può replicare nel dire "...non ci credo...", piuttosto avrebbe effettivamente fatto più figura "da gentile padrone di casa", nel proporre un'alternativa o comunque rifare la medesima pietanza. Atteso quanto sopra, l'esperienza è stata più che discreta, abbiamo pagato un conto totale di euro 65,00, in quanto abbiamo anche preso una buona bottiglia di vino, e per quanto fosse accaduto ci aspettavamo una dimostranza da parte del proprietario, visto e considerato che il buon risotto al sugo di pomodoro è costato 14,00 euro (più dell'arrosto di pesce), non ci aspettavamo uno sconto, ma altrettanto non ci aspettavamo che non ci fosse offerto nemmeno un amaro/caffè (in realtà nemmeno chiesto dal personale come da...

Place is clean and nice and the staff is wonderful. The two stars are because of the food. We shared ravioli stuffed with zucchini which were good but 4 raviolis for 13€ seriously ? Hopefully the taste was good. Then we shared a plate a mixed fishes for 13€ as well. For sure it wasn’t fresh fish. Maybe it was written or the menu and we missed it but this plate literally didn’t taste anything. Last but not least we took the house wine which was 4€ a glass of sweet vinegar. Despite having a reservation, my family and I were originally told by the owner (older gentleman) that we could not sit at a reserved table. After talking with his daughter and making us wait, we were allowed to sit. We sat at the table for approximately 20 minutes and no one made eye contact with us, acknowledge us or provide us with menus, water or bread.
