Cantina LA FONTE AZIENDA AGRICOLA — Restaurant in Bevagna

We went here on a winetasting tour of umbria. It was a fantastic experience. A great family owned and operated vineyard with a young Vintner and winemaker and his sister that are in charge of day-to-day operations. They are a lovely couple of individuals who have a lot of energy and vision for a fantastic vineyard. We sampled their wines including the 552 which is an excellent choice. Had a case shipped to the United States and it arrived here in good shape with in two weeks. The young lady who was in charge of serving a fresh lunch was exceptional. The tiramisu was to die for. We’ve never had tiramisu that was so creamy and we still reminisce about it almost 3 weeks later. Appartamento molto carino e confortevole, adatto a una famiglia di 4 persone anche se volendo altre 2 ci potrebbero stare tranquillamente. La casa è all'interno della Azienda Agricola La Fonte e attorniata da vigne. Il silenzio la fa da padrone sopratutto la sera e la casa risulta anche ben insonorizzata, infatti al mattino non si sente per niente il rumore del trattore che passa davanti in direzione vigne. Bellissimo patio esterno dove si può mangiare o rilassarsi con l'altalena di corda (anche per adulti). C'è spazio per lasciare i bambini in tranquillità in quanto a parte le auto dei proprietari, non se ne vedono. Il posto auto è presente oltretutto coperto da una rete antigrandine. La gentilezza dei proprietari è squisita. Durante gli 8 giorni di permanenza, 3 volte ci siamo trovati delle zucchine sul tavolo esterno a nostra insaputa. Che bel gesto! Casa completamente accessoriata, presente la lavatrice (compresa nel prezzo), stendino e ovviamente asse con ferro da stiro. Non è presente la lavastoviglie (poco importa). Al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato nell'appartamento una bottiglia di vino e una piccola lattina di olio entrambe di loro produzione. Auto consigliata per gli spostamenti, Bevagna è a 2min di auto dal parcheggio vicino al fiume, mentre in 15/20min si raggiunge la superstrada umbra. Posizione strategica. We had an amazing time here doing a wine and food tasting! Francesco was so friendly (as was his family!), but you could tell he's also very passionate about what he does. Not to mention the food and wine were both absolutely delicious. We ordered a few bottles to be shipped back to the states and will likely continue ordering more.
