I found this restaurant by accident, apparently it was fate. To test your taste buds. I would like to note the interior, the furniture is very inviting, simple and relaxed, it shakes my feelings, because I love that kind of thing. The staff is not to say that they are friendly, it would be an understatement, the guys are very nice, the etiquette is at the highest level, it was very pleasant to communicate, I would like to especially thank the owner of the establishment. Further, these dishes, I found that over a long time they could sweeten my palate and taste buds, I ordered Lasagna Tradizionale, Cotoletta Alla Bolongnese, as I understand it, it was a fillet that was cooked perfectly, it was a divine sensation that is difficult to convey. Separately, I would like to thank the chef, who has golden hands and is a professional in his field, who helped me experience an unforgettable taste sensation. I have never tried Lasagna like this anywhere before. Well, for everything and in general I want to thank the owner of the restaurant, for a very wonderful place, I note that he has certain tastes regarding the interior. The overall dining experience at this restaurant was spoiled by the feeling that we were being rushed through our dinner so that the next sitting could be accommodated. We were not offered the wine list at the same time as the food menus and had to ask for it. We had just ordered wine when bread and an offering of mortadella arrived. Before we had a chance to eat this or to have a sip of our wine, the starters arrived. We ordered the poached egg with truffle dish and the onion tart. Both were tasty but not exceptional. For mains we had a lasagne and a tortellini al ragu as we had heard that this was a good representation of the original Bologna cuisine. It was all well cooked and flavoured, if rather heavy for our tastes. The waiting staff seemed pressured and there was no warmth or friendliness. It all seemed rather cold, albeit very professional. We left some of our bottle of wine as we felt that we should leave the table. All in all it was just not a relaxing evening...

I wish I could write nicely about Al Cambio but I will never know thanks to their terrible customer service. Two Weeks ago I emailed them asking if a table for two was available, they replied back asking if I wanted to confirm, when I replied that I would like that I was expecting a confirmation email from them, I got nothing. I emailed them three times over the next two weeks asking for confirmation but was completely ignored. They replied at 7:30 on the Saturday, thirty minutes before the requested time and by then we had been forced to make different arrangements because of their lack of communication. I can only put this unprofessionalism down to arrogance or incompetence, thankfully there are many great restaurants in Bologna who value their customers, i would advise those reading this to choose...

We found this restaurant on a Michelin guide and decide to visit. Firstly, it is located quite far away from the city center and you should consider that, coz on the way back you would definitely need a taxi. We have tried several dishes which shared. Not everything impressed us. But we would definitely recommend dish with poached egg (uovo in camicia) and tortellini in doppio brodo di carne. These 2 dishes are on the pictures and they were amazing. We would also recommend to choose wine yourselves. We relied on the sommelier advices but he did not recommend good options - very strong wine which spoiled the impression of the evening and price wise it was not a reasonable choice.

I piatti della tradizione sono rustici e dai sapori intensi, quelli che invece se vogliamo sono frutto di più inventiva culinaria sono ben equilibrati nei sapori ed elegantemente presentati. La lasagna, piatto forte mi viene da dire, è davvero di un altro livello. Il ragù è ben tirato e ricco, alcuni potrebbero forse trovarlo un po' salato, non nel mio caso però. Prettamente dal punto di vista del cibo lo reputo uno dei ristoranti dove ho mangiato meglio a Bologna. Passando al personale, mi ha sorpreso molto vedere commenti negativi in altre recensioni. Ho trovato il modo di lavorare dello staff molto attento, cordiale e professionale, comparabile se vogliamo ad un ristorante con una stella in Michelin. Ben vestiti, all'ingresso prendono la giacca, vengono al tavolo ad assicurarsi che tutto stia procedendo bene, ottime maniere. Se posso solo suggerire un qualcosa per integrare un servizio già ottimo, avrei gradito una sorta di presentazione più approfondita dei piatti. Carta dei vini ampia e ben strutturata, suddivisa per regione, con cantina di provenienza. Il ristorante in se è elegante, molto pulito anche in termini di posate e bicchieri, che non presentano aloni da lavastoviglie, e che sottolineano dunque un buon livello di cura. Concludo facendo riferimento al prezzo. Si spende, ma ad essere sinceri mi sarei aspettato anche di più, i prezzi non si discostano troppo da quella che è la media da trattoria bolognese. Prezzo medio da trattoria bolognese che però tengo a sottolineare, specie per chi è in visita alla città, è di solito più elevato rispetto ad altre zone d'Italia.
