No no and again no. Pasta Trofie was undercooked that's an incredible mistake, anchovies on the niçoise were too salty and not good taste at all. Smelling funny. The breaded part of the milanesa was detached from the meat, unacceptable, the wine scaloppinas were sinked in a mud of flour, unedible. The meat itself was hard and difficult to chew. They took away from table the extra virgin olive oil before hand without me having finished the grilled vegetables. The name of the place means THE CAPER in Italian and they don't have any dish with capers inside only one pizza as a last ingredient and today they don't cook pizzas. Infinite space for improvement. I will never come back to check if they did improve however. I forgot to mention that the home filtered bottle of water had a lid that completely dirty off the top of the bottle itself giving this sensation of lack of hygiene. What a bad experience. We stopped for a quick lunch on our way to Sanremo, although it was at the 2 pm cutoff, the ladies let us sit down and order and boy what an experience. The restaurant is by far not a glamorous one but my God was the food incredible. The salad was composed of crisp radicchio, escarole and sweet ripe grape tomatoes. The calamari was crisp with light as air flour batter. The pizza had crisp crusty edges and soft center with just the right amount of sauce. Spaghetti with seafood was to die for, amazing umami flavor to the sauce that captured the essence of the sweetest clams and mussels I have had in quite a while. We tried dinner in Sanremo and it fell totally flat by comparison. So we went back for lunch the next day and loved it even more, we saved room for the best Tiramisu and Semifreddo we have had...

La pizza è buona, per il servizio si può fare molto di più!

Invogliati dalle belle recensioni, alle 18:15 telefoniamo per prenotare un tavolo alle 19:30. Una signora gentile ci risponde che è possibile, ma sarebbe meglio se arrivassimo anche un po’ prima, verso le 19-19:15, sottolineando che dalle 19:00 sono aperti. Ci troviamo in un paesino a 20/30minuti dalla pizzeria, così ci prepariamo in un baleno e schiacciando un po’ sull’acceleratore alle 19:04 entriamo in pizzeria. Ci fanno accomodare nella saletta semi vuota (solo un paio di tavoli già occupati oltre al nostro) e prendono subito l’ordinazione (avevamo già deciso le pizze in auto guardando il menu online). Mentre aspettiamo, velocemente il piccolo locale si riempie e c’è anche gente in piedi all’ingresso che attende le pizze d’asporto. Iniziano a portare i piatti e piano piano tutti mangiano, anche chi era entrato dopo di noi e anche chi aveva ordinato pizza (non solo i piatti freddi). 🥲 Ore 7:46 chiediamo se le nostre pizze sono in arrivo, facendo presente che siamo in attesa da quasi un’ora e che al telefono ci era stato detto di arrivare in anticipo. Una signora, cortesemente ma con aria seccata, ci risponde che va a vedere in cucina e poco dopo torna dicendo che le nostre pizze sono in forno. Effettivamente dopo pochi minuti ci servono le pizze e….. ta daaan! Sorpresa, dopo 50 minuti di attesa la mia pizza era sbagliata 🥲 Forse notando la mia espressione delusa, la signora mi chiede se va tutto bene e poi se voglio fare l’aggiunta, ma a quel punto, un po’ frustrata e tanto affamata, la mangio così com’è e via. Ciliegina sulla torta, una ragazza mi porta via il piatto appena ho finito l’ultimo boccone, in silenzio, senza chiedere nulla.. anche questo è sorprendente! In totale: 58€ per 4 pizze, 2 birre, 2coca-cola, 50 minuti d’attesa e gentilezza...
