Holidaying from Australia we found this little gem on the Giosa Ionica coast in Bovalino, Reggio Calabria. Having travelled all of Italy we have tried many pizzas but none of them have compared to the ones we had at Royal Caffè.

By far the best tasting pizza we have had in Italy. Cooked in a traditional wood oven pizza, you can taste the freshness with every bite. Finished off with also the best tasting Crema Caffe we have had on our trip.

Run by 4 local boys you can see how much love and detail they have put into the bar with their attention to presentation and outstanding hospitality. Our dining experience here felt like we had been invited into their home and treated like royalty. Situated across the main piazza in Bovalino, you are immediately immersed in the Italian culture.
