My father and I had Easter lunch at Da Carmelo today and it was AMAZING! Our 5 course tasting included an assortment of amuse bouche, a wonderful play on a 'fried egg' that was made entirely of seafood, delicately prepared sea scallop over almond cream with Korean-style vegetable, the most amazing tortellini with smoked mussels and bottarga di tonno, sous vide lamb with a Roman -style artichoke, and the most amazing ricotta dessert with caramelized apple and crumble. The chefs are a wonderful couple, trained in Michelin starred establishments ... and it shows. The plating, service and attention to detail were impeccable.
