Old Wild West — Restaurant in Bussolengo

Really weird experience today at the Old Wild West in the Porte Adige Auchan Verona mall. Food good as always and the waitress was friendly and professional. However when we went to pay we met the employee who needs an attitude check and some serious training sessions. I wanted to use half our fidelity points and a voucher I had received over fb and was sourly informed they are not to be used for the same invoice. Sure, no problem, I'll have two invoices then. I add that we were the only ones in line to pay at this time, no time issues here. So the waitress cashier takes my fidelity card, passes it and then I pay. After that she seemed to be unfamiliar with the voucher system from Facebook but I guess in that area Old Wild West might just need to provide some training. Didn't seem overly difficult tho. Then I was informed we needed to spend more money to be able to use the voucher which seems counterintuitive to me but ok we had two coffees. Which brought the voucher down from 5 euros to 3 euros. Not a great fidelity system imo. Then I noticed she had not deducted the 1000 points/ 10 euros on the first invoice and still super sour she said I should have provised this on the app and not on the card. It would not have cost her one iota to inform me of this fact before paying. Seriously unfriendly and rude cashier not to mention I did not get my fidelity card discount. I guess my friends and I will frequent another establishment as soon as I've used my fidelity points in another Old Wild West point. Thumbs down. Bad service is so...

Premessa. Sinceramente non vado pazzo per le grandi catene perché so bene quanto l'estetica e l'apparenza che utilizzano per essere appariscenti e dunque attraenti per gli avventori siano per la maggior parte delle volte un'ottima esca e allo stesso tempo uno stratagemma più che valido per nascondere la qualità di un servizio pessimo e di materie prime più che scadenti. Devo dire che in parte qui ho dovuto ricredermi.

Locale. Il locale è più o meno simile a tutti quelli della catena (purtroppo qui sta all'azienda variegare un po' le varie sedi, ricreando scenari diversi pur rimanendo fedele al tema principale, chi si occupa del ristorante e fa in modo che le cose funzionino non ne ha colpa)questo però non ne sminuisce l'appariscenza e il fascino. Personalmente penso che basti avere anche poca fantasia per sentirsi un po' immersi in altri tempi con un'arredamento così ben fatto, devo dire che per quanto lo abbia già visto ogni volta che mi succede di tornarci lo apprezzo davvero parecchio (anche se avrei dei consigli per renderlo ancora migliore e magari, appunto, variegarlo un po'). Ottimo comunque nell'insieme.

Servizio. Leggo gente lamentarsi come se non ci fosse un domani, io invece mi sono trovato davvero bene. A servirci c'erano solo due ragazze ed era domenica sera, la gente non mancava ma si sono fatte valere (veloci, cordiali, puntuali e sorridenti) di meglio davvero non avremmo potuto chiedere!

Il cibo. Qui purtroppo si frena un po' l'entusiasmo. L'hamburger purtroppo non era all'altezza del nome del posto e della sua tanto sbandierata carne. Sono sincero mi ha davvero deluso, non è che non fosse buono è che non era sicuramente così buono da "uscire per andare a mangiare li" era più qualcosa come" se sono lì e non ho voglia di andare a cercare altro altrove...". Un vero peccato perché invece il primo piatto preso (un piatto estivo, quello in foto, ciabatta con carpaccio di manzo, patate al forno ecc... ecc) è stato una vera prelibatezza ♡.

Che dire? Non è un luogo per il quale partirei da casa per mangiare un'hamburger, questo no. Ma ci sono altri piatti che meritano davvero un viaggetto, lo merita sicuramente lo staff (perfette) e il luogo che riesce davvero a catapultarti in altri tempi. Il costo poi non è di certo esoso, non è una prerogativa delle grandi catene un prezzo alto... a discapito molte volte purtroppo, della qualità della...

FOOD - is affordable. Burgers seems to look the same. There were not one burger that actually stand out and I wish they had more options for their chicken burgers

SERVICE - I asked about the weight of the Mixed platter for 2 Our hostess that DIDN'T EVEN WORN A NAME BADGE had no idea, she had to call someone else and he had to call the manager. DON'T THEY TEACH PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE?
