Negatives: No English Menu… and that’s it!

Positives: This spot is incredible, there are few to no spots that do Pizza quite like Antica in Busto Arsizio. The dough is fluffy and delicious, the ingredients are fresh and there’s plenty of them and the pizzas come flying out of the oven within minutes of ordering. The place has been recently renovated and is decorated well, is clean and has an amazing local Italian vibe. This is not a tourism trap like you often find, this is where the locals eat!

We arrived at 1945 on a Friday without booking and it was bouncing. We explained we didn’t have a table and we were told to come back in 15 minutes. There was nowhere to wait and with our jacket and jumper on we couldn’t stand inside. We left and came back and we got our table.

The staff were extremely polite and friendly, they apologised that they didn’t have an English Menu which was fine, we used the Google translate app.

We ordered our food and within minutes these two delicious pizzas were in front of us. The pictures explain themselves. The food was incredible.

Genuinely no complaints here. Would 100% return and recommend it to anyone who is staying nearby for the airport!

I’m eating lots of pizza’s each week, so trust me on this one. Although the ambiance isn’t that appealing and the place is just outside of centre, i’ve got to admit this is the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. The pizza style is neapolitan and the crust comes straight down from heaven into this pizzaiolo’s wood oven. The ingredients used in the pizza are as fresh a new born human being. And even better, they do have this specialty beer recommendations with each pizza. These beers are great aswell, trust me on this aswell since i’m an alcoholic who loves a couple beers. “Non la solita pizza” Frequento Antica Pizza dal 2019 ed è stato un piacere vedere la continua crescita del locale. Al momento il culmine è rappresentato dal menù degustazione dal titolo “Consistenze”. Tale menù è composto da quattro portate caratterizzate da diverse lavorazioni dell’impasto che portano a provare versioni più classiche come la montanarina a quelle più contemporanee come la versione doppia cottura (prima fritta e poi in forno). Sono tutte eccezionali così come eccezionali sono gli ingredienti utilizzati che, combinati con gusto e attenzione, permettono di provare abbinamenti sempre equilibrati e interessanti. Il servizio è attento, disponibile e sempre sorridente. La location è stata sottoposta da qualche mese a dei lavori di restauro che l’hanno resa più elegante e accogliente, decisamente più in linea con quella che è l’idea della loro proposta. I prezzi sono sì leggermente più elevati rispetto a quella che può essere la media, ma sono coerenti con la qualità proposta e la cura che sta dietro quella che decisamente non è “la solita pizza”.
