It is a fixed menu with two options, at 35 euros and 40 euros. The latter adds one starter, bringing to six, one course, bringing it to two, and lemon sorbet at the end. Definitely worth choosing the 40 euros one.
The starters were a mixed bag. Excellent mussels, fried shrimps and tuna pate with bottariga, ok octopus salad, the tuna was a bit dry to my taste but came with good tomatoes, the rice was a bit of a filler.
With the courses it took off. The roasted fish and king prawns are truly excellent, very impressed. As per tradition, you get some vegetables mid dinner to lighten things up (objectively, it is a very rich dinner)
Sorbetto, nice pardule (they were the only extra charge at 1 euro each), coffee and liquor to finish. The wine was decent too.
Very friendly staff and fast service. You really need to book in advance, but some of the starters were already in the table when we arrived. We arrived at 8.30 and left 10.30pm, quite happy.
The surroundings are nice and the main dining hall offers a very nice view, but it is also well protected...
Read moreThe food: We took the 40€ menu, came with 4 starters, the starters were all fresh, tasty and good quality. Then, we we got 2 pasta and tuna plates. To be honest the tuna is not tasty, maybe its not my favorite sea food to eat. The pasta was ok, not as great as expected.
Then, my disappointment and main reason for 2 stars on food is the burned fish offer. The quality and type of fish is not even average. I wouldnt eat this type of fish again, especially when burned. Please see the photos.
The most positive part of our visit was the waiters, they were extremly friendly.
Last, the whole ambiance and surroundings is very nice and attractive.
We expected much better quality for...
Read more4,5 stars. This restaurant keeps alive the area that used to be the active site for the farming and selling of gray mullets. In the restaurant, the local catch is the star of the fixed-price menu (40€), which includes a series of starters, two pasta-based dishes, grilled fish as a main, a quarter of wine, water and coffee. All we had was really good, including the bottarga (cured gray mullet roe), which was a key ingredients in several preparations. The staff was very kind and easily accommodated our large party, including our kids. The food was really as simple as delicious and did not need any dressing or additional seasoning....
