If I could give 0 stars, I would.
Let me explain a few things before I get into what happened. I am gay, very visibly so. I have painted nails and my fashion is very obviously not trying to hide who I am.
I am alone for the day on vacation, and I wanted to go to a place where I can meet new people and feel SAFE.
So, I chose to come here just because I am gay. Italy is super gay friendly as it is, so I had no worries in feeling unsafe. I do not speak Italian, but I try my best to speak the little I do know.
I ask if I need to be seated or if I should choose a seat on my own. They say to choose a seat.
I was sitting by myself for over 20 minutes, and no one had come up to me to ask my order. I see a manager (in blue shirt) walking back and forth several times, and after 20 minutes I very politely and timidly say “scusa” and am met with a horrible dismissal and attitude, followed by an outburst in Italian that I did not understand.
I almost started crying it was so embarrassing. I literally was holding back tears in front of the entire restaurant.
Thankfully, the locals at several different tables stood up for me and told another employee what was happening in Italian. I was very grateful for them. Throughout the entire time I was there they kept checking to make sure I was ok.
I am all alone and come to one of the only LGBTQ places and am made to feel unsafe and unwanted by my own community in Sardinia; and by the establishment that brands themselves on being LGBTQ friendly.
How awful to treat another human being that way, especially one who is obviously alone and does not know the language but is trying my best. I am super respectful and patient and understand I am a visitor. If anyone from another country came to my home country and buisness, no matter who they are or what their identity was, I would make sure they felt safe and understand how hard it must be for them to be in a place where you can’t understand anyone but are trying.
Do better. Thankfully the people of Sardinia are so kind and hospitable that they stood up for me against this. Gratzi a...
Read moreSuch a shame we didn't research deaper into the reviews, looks like each time a bad review is placed it is covered up by regulars making out this venue is a 5 star rating. Or maybe you have to be a local and they love being treated like crap!
After reviewing the last 5 years 1 star rateings it is obvious this venue has not modified it's service standards.
You would think that after 5years and listening to the complaints and improving sincere reviews they then further intimidate the person for their honesty, as in my partners case, absolute lies and telling him "we don't want you back" after he had already said we will never come back!
The leason before wasteing our money and time, always read the bad reviews first, and do not bother with this venue, as in 5years it still has not learnt what good customer service is...
Such a shame as this business, with good customer service, would be a goldmine with it's location alone.
Well, we will not be back dispite it is the only gay venue to eat and drink in Cagliari.
We are a gay couple and visited this venue twice for dinner and a drink to enjoy and support the local gay scene as we do in all countries we visit. The service was very slow with meals taking up to an hour and longer to be delivered after ordering. We queried items on our bill as we didn't realise you have to pay extra for condiments to place on your salad, which comprised of lettuce with no dressing, plus watch the bill as other things seem to be added that we didnt understand or were not explained to us as we expected to pay a certain amount but when we paid the bill it was always much more. Such as adding bread, when we didn't...
Read moreI’m so disappointed… the service there is CHAOTIC, I think you guys should work again on your organization : We arrived at our table, nobody came to take our order after 20 minutes waiting (but they came to all the locals directly) so we decided to order directly at the bar, after 15 minutes waiting at the bar, they didn’t want to serve our drinks at the bar, they wanted to serve our drinks to our table : why not, but why do you serve all the other customers at the bar directly but not us ? After 45 minutes at the table, we were still waiting for our drinks When we asked to the waiters “where are our drinks ?” they told us to check with the other waiters… it was not their problems at all, so, to whom should we speak if it’s not their problem ? One of them took our receipt to check with the bar, but he lost it… so it was super complicated to explain our problem to the other waiters After a while, I went to the bar outside and I spoke to this lovely barmaid who presented me to the manager The manager was so nice, he was really sorry for this mess and he fixed the problem immediately ❤️ thanks to you again ! To finish, I think the team is nice with the locals, but with the tourists it’s another story … it’s too bad, the drag show was funny and the party/music amazing But terrible service !!!!! I never had this case before, we had a very bad night because of this story, in a middle of our holidays...
