Extremely Disappointing Service Experience

Our recent visit to Osteria Pizzeria dal Micione left us thoroughly disappointed with the service we received. Despite being a large group of friends, with a wedding party of 25 to 30 people, the staff showed a complete lack of concern and respect.

From the moment we arrived, they seemed determined to argue with us about every little detail. It was disheartening to see that they disregarded the fact that we were there for a special occasion. Despite our polite and respectful behavior, we were treated unprofessionally and disrespectfully throughout the evening.

It is crucial for businesses in the service industry to communicate with kindness and compassion, even when delivering disappointing news. Unfortunately, the staff at Osteria Pizzeria dal Micione failed to exhibit any such qualities. This left us with a bad taste in our mouths, both figuratively and literally.

Fortunately, we were able to find a nearby restaurant that came to our rescue at the last minute. It’s ironic that despite having reservations and a deposit, we had to switch venues. We highly recommend the alternative restaurant, which demonstrated true Italian hospitality just a few steps away.

In summary, we cannot recommend Osteria Pizzeria dal Micione due to the exceptionally poor service we encountered. It’s important for businesses to remember that they are in the service industry, and even when faced with challenging situations, there are ways to handle them with grace and professionalism. Where can I begin with how horrible this experience was as there were so very many problems. They didn't have a paper menu which was insane for a reserved large group. They overcharged us from the beginning quoting €20 for pizza and drinks. They were angry and yelling at us because we made a reservation with a €50 deposit for a group of 25 people and actually had 30. They insisted they could not service us and asked that we split our group into 2 seperate dining times. We agreed and several members left. They then became angry because our group shrank to 22 people and several staff proceeded to yell at us for not having exactly 25 people. If that wasn't enough the last straw was when we asked for drinks and they said that the €20 only included water and if we wanted soda there would be an extra charge. We left and ended up going down the street where they accomdated us and the food and bar were perfect! I can't recommend this place as the service was absolutely atrocious and the staff a complete disgrace. An owner angry because he has more customers than he originally thought is idiotic and buying pizza from him makes you the same. Be better and go...

Horrible treatment!!!!! We reserved for 25 people but showed up with 30. Within minutes of seating us,the restaurant staff began to argue and were upset. They couldn't accommodate the extra 5 people, although the place was empty,so some of us had to leave. They became upset when we wanted to order 22 pizzas instead of the 25 they thought we would order. Refused to serve us anything but water, although we were asking and willing to pay for soda. Tried to upcharge us 2.5 times the price for a pizza, 20 euros each instead of 8 or 9 euros, which is the normal price. The cook and manager were difficult and started to argue with us as soon as we were seated. We ended up leaving without anything eaten.
