Arancioamaro Ristorante — Restaurant in Cannero Riviera

We came here on a day trip to Verbania. We were absolutely stunned.The food was the best we had in a long time.The service was very friendly and prompt.

I am personally offended by reading some of the negative ratings here.i assume that these people are used to eat in Restaurants like Papa Joes or any other Fast Food nonsense Kitchen. These people that are complaining that the portions are not big enough didnt understood the concept of italian kitchen (starter,primi,secondi). Those who complain that its not kid-friendly:pasta is always an option for kids-or chose another Restaurant maybe? Anyway!

We ordered: 1.vitello tonnato secondo tradizione, misticanza selvatica e polvere di capperi vitello tonnato, wild salad and caper powder capesante gratinate(delicious!) 2.acciughe del cantabrico, pane tostato e burro a latte crudo cantabrian anchovies with toasted bread and raw milk butter 3.pasta zero bossolasco, vongole veraci,seppie e piselli pasta bossolasco, clams, cuttlefish and peas 4.filetto di fassona con burro alle erbe, patate schiacciate, cipollotto e verdure fassona fillet with herb butter, mashed potatoes,spring onion and vegetables 5.tiramisu cannolo siciliano, seirass, arance candite e salsa alla vaniglia sicilian cannolo, ricotta, candied oranges and vanilla sauce It...

Not a place if you are a small family with a baby and a babychair. Not if you are dressed with a no fancy outfit. Not if you don't look upper class. Embarrased how they treat us. Just we sitted, in a sunny day with our baby of one year old enjoyng the village and the lake. The waitress just looked us, as it was obvious we bothered her eventhough we were calmly waitting and wanting to eat outside. Not any smile even we smiled her, not any welcome, just asked if we were there to eat, as soon as we asked if a babychair would be possible, she asked if would be for the baby, looking us very strange(????). Then she come back and ask us if we can move to the table of the corner. We just moved, and never came back with any chair. Honestly, we don't look, or neither behaive in any not normal way, we just asume we are not their "target" of clients maybe (???), then we stand up and leave beafore order even. It's a shame, maybe this lady don't have family or education, maybe she don't like her job or maybe this is the way they let you know you are not wellcome. Don't deserve even one single star, a really ugly treat. A clear example of a busines that live from the location and tourism visitors not...

We were recommended this hotel by friends. It was one of the highlights of our Italy trip. Fantastic views across Lago Maggiore. The decor of both the hotel and the rooms was very nice and comfortable.We stayed on the second floor in a corner room, so we had a wrap around balcony over looking the lake and the side of the hotel. |The restaurant downstairs serves a nice breakfast but the one time we ate dinner was a rather forgettable experience mainly due to a communication breakdown. IE Italian to English was lacking at least for one particular waitress.
