Ristorante Pizzeria Altamarea — Restaurant in Caorle

The food was excellent and the service was perfect. Apart from Italian, it’s no problem to communicate in German or English. Everyone is smiling and very friendly. We visited at the very end of the season, and even though they must have been exhausted after the busy summer, they handled everything flawlessly.

As for the food – it’s simply amazing. Wonderfully seasoned, perfectly balanced flavors – truly authentic Italy.

The prices are reasonable, considering the location between a hotel, apartment houses, and the beach. Pizza €9–11, pasta €11–15, drinks €3–6. And the portions are big! The restaurant also offers pizza to take away, which is a great option after a long day trip or for families with children who don’t sit still :)

Waren jetzt schon 5 Abende dort zum essen. Essen an sich eigentlich echt super lecker, außer ein paar Ausnahmen. Das Beefstaek mit Pommes für 20€ ist leider ein Witz. Plattes kleines Stück Fleisch, nicht definierbar von welchem Tier. Trocken und zäh wie eine Schuhsohle, fader Geschmack. Die Portion Pommes ist zwar mega lecker aber von der Menge her eher für kleine Kinder geeignet.

Portionen sind dort allgemein leider sehr oft eher recht klein, können aber von Tag zu Tag variieren, manchmal sind die Portionen etwas grösser, so das sie gerade recht sind. Meistens aber kleiner dass man nicht richtig satt wird.

Service ist teils teils, manche sind extrem nett manchen sieht man an dass sie nicht wirklich bock auf Touristen haben.

Bezahlung, man hat automatisch eine deck Gebühr von 2€. Bekommt wenn man bar zahlt, eine kleine Schatulle mit der Rechnung. Der Kellner geht und man legt das Geld in die Schatulle. Nur doof wenn es keine gerade Summe ist und man es nicht passend hat. Wechselgeld ist dann Fehlanzeige. Dadruch wird man mehr oder weniger genötigt aufzurunden bzw Trinkgeld zugeben.

Zusammengefasst, das Essen ist eigentlich top, Qualität stimmt, keine langen Wartezeiten, Essen ist frisch und heiß. Manchmal leider etwas fade und man muss nachwürzen. Für die meistens kleineren Portionen meist eher höherpreisig. Bei einigen Gerichten wie zb den normalen Pizzen aber auch faire Preis-Leistung. Im Umkreis dennoch der beste Platz zum Essen. Vorallem im Vergleich zu einem gewissen Restaurant...

Rude staff, asked them if there's gluten free available (and after they said no, even thought the sign in front of the restaurant said they did) and we ordered normal pizza for the one who didn't have celiac diesease the waiter asked if we suddenly could have gluten. So we ordered gluten free pasta and normal pizza. The pasta was average at best and with a rather small portion for the price while the pizza was greasy and rather thin. Never going back...
