Ristorante - Pizzeria Dal Capitano — Restaurant in Capoliveri

The food is good and the restaurant is located on the camping site. We had a salad, cozze and pizza. Nothing to complain there.

But although we had a reservation which we got confirmed two hours before arrival, a member of stuff told us that there was no reservation. I understand that due to a confusion of a name something like this can happen. Still I had to show proof that I made a reservation... Why should anyone lie about that?! Furthermore it is very loud in the restaurant. There was a loud beachparty and another bar next to the restaurant. So a loud atmosphere while eating, loud music coming from the beach and loud music from the bar next door. Also there needs to be more stuff for the size of the restaurant. Would make everything...

Wir waren zweimal hier – einmal zum Essen im Lokal und einmal zum Mitnehmen – und beide Male absolut begeistert.

Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und eingespielt. Zu dritt im Service plus das Küchenteam rocken sie den Laden – und das merkt man sofort.

Beim ersten Besuch wurde uns gesagt, dass wir etwa 40 Minuten auf einen Tisch warten müssten. Währenddessen nahmen wir einen Aperitivo an der Bar – erstklassig gemixt und authentisch italienisch. Nach nur 5 Minuten bekamen wir bereits unseren Tisch. Zu unserer großen Überraschung wurden wir auf die Getränke eingeladen, auf Grund der Wartezeit. Das ist alles andere als selbstverständlich und zeigt, wie sehr hier Gastfreundschaft gelebt wird.

Das Essen war beide Male hervorragend – egal ob Pasta, andere Gerichte oder die Pizza. Besonders die Pizza möchten wir hervorheben: knuspriger Boden, frische Zutaten, perfekt aus dem Ofen – genau so, wie man sie in Italien erwartet. Auch zum Mitnehmen war die Qualität absolut top.

Ein weiteres Highlight: Der Barkeeper erinnerte sich bei unserem zweiten Besuch sofort an meinen Drink-Wunsch – das ist echter Service mit Herz.

Fazit: Großartige Küche, exzellente Pizza, toller Service und ein Team, das Gastfreundschaft wirklich lebt. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert – wir kommen ganz...

Lovely staff really helpful and speak good English when we needed help with food and the menu. The chef was amazing and we were told about some off the menu specials, one being the cheesecake which was lovely 😁 really recommended if you are visiting Elba Island. We are staying here for 2 weeks and will definitely be visiting this restaurant again...
