Bagni Orano Ristorante e Stabilimento Balneare — Restaurant in Capoliveri

We had dinner three days ago in this restaurant with a beautiful location on the beach. The three-course menu was very tasty and the service was attentive and helpful. We were planning to come back. All in all a very nice evening, thank you very much!

Yesterday we went to the Bagni Orano restaurant again. Pasta was our choice this time. The food arrived, it was cold. When we told the male waiter this, he reacted gruffly and took the pasta (lasagne and pasta with meat) back to the kitchen. 15 minutes later the pasta arrived; another 10 minutes later and only on request did the lasagne arrive - both apparently heated in the microwave. We were dissatisfied and wanted to pay and leave the restaurant but no male waiter responded to our request. Only the chef of the house came to us and brought us the bill. 45€ (1 starter, 2 pasta dishes, 1 water, 1 Coke) .... Why won't we be back? Because the service was unfriendly and inattentive. Siamo stati in questo bar/ristorante x una cena in famiglia, tappa obbligata da 3 anni, e che ci ha sempre dato soddisfazione. La particolarità di questo ristorante è che si mangia letteralmente con i piedi nella sabbia, ma volendo è anche possibile mangiare sul cemento e al coperto. Noi abbiamo prenotato con una settimana d'anticipo, chiedendo espressamente di essere più vicino possibile al mare, ma di fatto non ci hanno posizionato nei posti sperati. Tristemente, dopo averci fatto sedere, si sono dimenticati di noi, e abbiamo dovuto chiedere a qualche cameriere di prenderci le ordinazioni (nel frattempo, una mezz'oretta, delle persone arrivate dopo stavano già mangiando). Abbiamo ordinato 2 antipasti misti di pesce (14,5€), un risotto al nero di seppia (13,5€) e linguine sapore di mare (14€), come secondo 3 tranci di tonno (16€) in crosta di mandorle e 2 tranci di tonno alla griglia(16€), tutti con contorno di patate (5€). Da bere abbiamo preso 1,5l di vino bianco sfuso, molto buono (15€). Per finire sorbetto al frutto della passione corretto vodka (5€). Il servizio è stato un po' lento nonostante ci siano stati solo 15 tavoli da servire, comunque i camerieri sono sempre stati molto cortesi. L'antipasto misto mare l'ho trovato ricco (troppo) di polpo, la tartare centrale amarognola, l'involtino con l'acciuga aveva dentro lische e qualche parte della colonna vertebrale, si salvavano la bruschetta con burro e acciughe, le alici e i gamberetti, ma la salsina verde non mi è piaciuta, i 14€ non li vale affatto. Il risotto era un po' salato, mi aspettavo molto di più, anche qua non vale i 13,5€. Le linguine erano buone, ma non meglio di quelle negli altri ristoranti, nulla di eccezionale. La cosa che mi ha deluso più di tutto purtroppo è il tonno, nel frigo a vista era bellissimo, freschissimo, ma in entrambe le cotture è rimasto asciutto non molto saporito e presentato maluccio. Un peccato mortale visto che adoro il tonno ed era bellissimo prima della cottura! I 16€ purtroppo sono buttati anche qua. Il piatto di contorno di patate al forno era esiguo e non valeva sicuramente i 5€ che lo abbiamo pagato. Volevamo per dolce il tiramisù al cocco e lime, cavallo di battaglia del ristorante, ma anche chiedendolo espressamente ad inizio pasto, ci hanno confermato essere già finito, ed è il secondo anno che succede. Abbiamo ripiegato sul sorbetto al frutto della passione ed è stata una dolce sorpresa, veramente buono, valeva tutti i suoi 5€. Avendo un conto di più di 200€, mi sarei aspettato un digestivo offerto, un buon Aleatico magari, ma niente. In conclusione sono rimasto deluso dalla qualità, che dall'anno scorso è peggiorata purtroppo, e dai prezzi che sono sovrastimati rispetto la qualità del cibo. Non credo che ci tornerò nonostante la fantastica sensazione della sabbia...

Overall, the restaurant is very nice especially if you dine by the beach(they have tables in the beach). The view is incredible making it suitable for dates and fancy dine in. They give you immediately your table if you reserved a table. The waiters are really quick with bringing your food onto the table and so with the ordering phase. The food was really good(I recommend the pizza, the dough is really good). For Appetiser , I shared a white pizza which was excellent and than I took as my main “variante di polpo” which was variants of octopus. They had octopus on the grill, fried and salad.
