Io, mia moglie e le nostre due figlie eravamo di passaggio a Varese, dopo un viaggio molto stancante. Cercando su Google Maps un posto dove pranzare, abbiamo trovato questo ristorante. Ovviamente non conoscevamo il menù e nemmeno sapevamo che ci fossero due opzioni tra cui scegliere: “menù fisso” o “à la carte”. Abbiamo chiesto spiegazioni al cameriere, che ci ha spiegato che il menù fisso aveva un prezzo definito e permetteva di scegliere un primo piatto, un secondo e un contorno. Gli abbiamo chiesto quale fosse il prezzo del menù fisso e se fosse possibile ordinare due menù fissi e dividerli con le nostre figlie, visto che mangiamo poco. Lui ha risposto prontamente di sì, che era possibile, e quindi non abbiamo nemmeno chiesto di vedere il menù, pensando che in questo modo avremmo evitato sprechi e mantenuto i costi bassi.

Dopo aver pranzato, mia moglie si è recata alla cassa per pagare, ma con nostra sorpresa la ragazza alla cassa stava facendo pagare un menù fisso per ogni persona. Mia moglie ha spiegato che avevamo ordinato solo due menù, ma la ragazza ha risposto che eravamo in quattro persone, quindi come poteva essere solo per due? Mia moglie ha spiegato che il cameriere ci aveva detto che avremmo potuto ordinare due menù fissi da dividere con le nostre figlie. La ragazza, con tono di scherno, ha detto che una cosa del genere "non esiste da nessuna parte". Nonostante le nostre insistenze e il fatto che il cameriere avesse confermato di averci dato quella informazione, la ragazza ha continuato a schernirci e, anche se lui ha ammesso il suo errore, lei ha comunque deciso che avremmo dovuto pagare quattro menù fissi, perché “QUESTA COSA NON ESISTE DA NESSUNA PARTE”.

Ovviamente abbiamo pagato tutto come voleva lei, anche per non mettere nei guai il cameriere che aveva commesso l’errore. Ciò che ci ha lasciati più delusi è stata l’atteggiamento della ragazza, che per tutto il tempo ha mantenuto un tono sarcastico, come se fossimo noi a voler fare i furbi. Sarebbe bastato che riconoscesse l’errore del cameriere e ci avesse almeno chiesto scusa per il malinteso. Sicuramente avremmo pagato senza problemi, e non sarei qui a scrivere questo avviso per altre persone civili ed educate, affinché non cadano nella stessa trappola. We were very lucky to stumble on this place after filling our rental car to return to the airport in Milano Malpensa. We stopped and were waiting at the door when they opened at 19:00. Our hostess was very accommodating of my broken Italian and made us feel right at home. Dinner (cena) was great. My wife had the Diavola pizza and some house Rosso. She said it was the best she had all week. I tried the primi etrofie pasta with pistachio pesto and shrimp and then for secondi a grilled Sea Bream. Both were very well done and very tasty.
