Ristorante Pizzeria La Grotta — Restaurant in Cascina

My wife and I have visited Italy part of our three weeks vacation in Europe. We are from California and pretty much know about hospitality and food. We can tell easily that our best experience among seven countries visited was in Cascina in Italy. La Grotta is a very busy, informal eaterie. At lunchtime it is bustling with workers on their lunch break at dinnertime it can get crowded with regular customers looking for an excellent, reasonably priced, meal with abundant-sized portions. Aiutatemi a dire pessimo! Metto 1 stella perché non posso metterne meno! Cenato per la sera del 31 Dicembre. Antipasto mediocre,tante cose di scarsa qualità prese e messe in un piatto,ma il bello è arrivato quando hanno portato il bittico di primi(mare/terra) in un unico piatto diviso da un grissino!! Ma siamo matti???Ma perché il grissino?? Ovviamente il sughetto dei ravioli stracotti e senza sapore era andato a finire sui paccheri all'astice un po' più mangiabili. Ma il fondo è stato toccato con quello che doveva essere un cinghiale in umido ma che tutto era meno che quello. Sembrava già masticato e vomitato nel piatto con tanto di acquetta che forse proveniva dalle verdure lesse di accompagnamento! Ma perché? Cotechino con lenticchie non pervenuto e frittura di mare non male,ma ormai eravamo talmente snauseati da tutto che anche quella è stata lasciata. Vino simile al tavernello e pure il caffè freddo e cattivo. Tutto questo per la modifica cifra di 60 euro a persona che avevamo deciso di spendere ma non certo così. Si sa che in queste serate la qualità puó essere più bassa ma così è vergognoso. Ci saranno state 500 persone quasi una sopra l'altra che purtroppo non siete stati in grado di gestire.
