Buba — Restaurant in Castiglione della Pescaia

We have been twice here while in Punta Ala and I would return. I love sea bream and here you pay less than in any other restaurant around, while the quality is really good. As for pizzas, I just tried a marinara and it was really good as well. Verdure grigliate are delicious as well... the only low point is that the second time they surcharged those by 1 euro each (6 euros instead of 5 - see the difference in the 2 receipts - all side dishes are 5 euros so you can't be wrong). You have to be prepared that in this port everything is about 50% more expensive than average Italian prices. So don’t be surprised. The problem with place is not the price. The waiters are pushy and very unkind. The quality of food is below average and they have only one house red and white by the glass. Such a luxury port with such low quality is really strange...

Non so da dove cominciare per descrivere questo posto. Eravamo in sei quindi di possibilità ne abbiamo date: chi ha ordinato lo spaghetto alle vongole assolutamente slegato è arrivato dopo 5’ minuti dall’ordinazione; i tortellini panna e prosciutto sono arrivati con il pomodoro (!!!); spaghetti alla “Bube” mah; la pasta al pomodoro anche questa non buona; due pizze queste proprio indescrivibili sembrano proprio quelle congelate (tra l’altro di pessima qualità) e poi l’aggiunta della mozzarella e gli ingredienti. Servizio pessimo anche quello, le portate della cucina sono arrivate 5’ minuti dall’ordinazione mentre le pizze sono arrivate (dopo nostro sollecito avendo visto servire il tavolo a fianco al nostro che aveva ordinato dopo di noi) dopo che gli altri commensali avevano già terminato....
