I recently dined at Ristorante Pizzeria Evergreen in Italy, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Here are three things that stood out to me:

Siamo stati in questo locale circa una settimana fa, intorno alle 20:00. Il ristorante era completamente deserto, cosa che avrebbe dovuto metterci in guardia. Ci siamo comunque accomodati e abbiamo chiesto il menù. Il cameriere, con estrema naturalezza, ci ha avvisato che si trattava di un menù vecchio e che a tutti i prezzi indicati andava aggiunto un euro. Abbiamo iniziato a ordinare, ma qualsiasi cosa chiedessimo non era disponibile. Alla fine, rassegnati, abbiamo dovuto fare il contrario: chiedere direttamente cosa fosse rimasto da mangiare. Abbiamo ordinato una bottiglia di vino semplice (nemmeno da 10 euro), due piatti di spaghetti alle vongole che sul menù risultavano a 11 euro ciascuno, una frittura da dividere e due dolci caprese. Totale? 84 euro. Dando un’occhiata veloce allo scontrino, ho notato che i due piatti di pasta alle vongole erano stati conteggiati 36 euro in totale, ben oltre il prezzo previsto. Ho chiesto spiegazioni e la signora alla cassa ha chiamato il cameriere, il quale ha giustificato il rincaro dicendo che si trattava di vongole veraci. Peccato che nel menù non esista alcuna voce spaghetti alle vongole "veraci”. Il problema di certi ristoratori è che pensano sempre di fare la furbata per guadagnarci, non rendendosi conto che poi i clienti non tornano più. Difatti, per tutta la settimana e quella successiva, abbiamo cenato in altri locali della zona e mai più da loro.
