Ristorante Nanin — Restaurant in Chiavari

True Ligurian cuisine in a historic location. We had lunch here invited by a special person who showed us the "real cuisine" of Chiavari. The restaurant is typical and it is clear that it is known in the area. It has no architectural barriers for any disabled people who can enter in a wheelchair. The owners are really welcoming and put us at ease right away. The mise en place is simple but nice and decent. The service was very good. Our host pointed out to us the best courses he already liked in this place. All dishes were very popular. Among other things, we have seen the menu, which is however conditioned by the catch of the day. Generous portions and high quality ingredients. The chosen dishes: Roasted octopus with pea purée and escarole, baby baby octopus on creamed potatoes and vegetables and, for dessert, we chose an apple sorbet with Calvados (divine!) Also the bread they brought us was home made. We tickled our palate with a good homemade "bread with olives" ... fantastic! The wine they suggested was "Verdicchio di Matelica" from the "Ggliardi" company. A structured wine, dry and slightly acidic, with a straw yellow color with greenish reflections, with notes of citrus fruits, lemons, minerals, honey, green apple and peach. Ideal with fish and seafood. We parked in the nearby piazza Roma, a short walk from the restaurant. I will definitely be back to try other...

I’ve never experienced such a disgraceful, perhaps discriminatory behaviour towards visiting guests: we came without reservation on a friday evening in a half-filled restaurant, well-mannered, well-dressed and kindly asked for a table for two. After we denied having a reservation the old grey-haired lady unmistakably told us to leave the restaurant. After we stood outside we were kind of confused how harsh she was but did not even wonder about it until the next day when we tried to get a table for the second time. This time in an almost empty restaurant, we entered with a group of old Italians who directly received a table when again she looked at us not even letting us finish our sentence, immediately denying with multiple “No, Grazie” and pushing the palm of her hands towards us and the door, as if we were criminals. Come ho più volte scritto in altre mie recensioni frequentavo la Riviera dove mia suocera ha casa e viveva la mia allora fidanzata già prima del grande Salto e diventare un Civile.....

Ai tempi ero più propenso alla carne in particolare al filetto comunque cucinato

Qui comunque si mangia in Cucina tipica Ligure ottima carne ottimo pesce Primi di tutti i tipi anche ottimo pesto o funghi. o sughi i più svariati....

Ora che ho raffinato la mia ricerca di posti dove mangiare pesce di stagione...Ftitti leggeri ma gustosi.....Pesce che una volta cucinato abbia il sapore di pesce...Quando è il momento acciughe....comunque cucinate ma possibilmente fritte .....Ora che sono quasi trent'anni che abito a Lavagna e quando il mio lavoro per una Multinazionale non mi porta in giro per il Mondo.... Questo simpatico delizioso comodo e per me romantico ristorante è una delle mie mete culinarie preferite

Il personale è deliziosamente simpatico e competente

Per i vini la mia solita avvertenza....Costano molto anche ai ristoratori.....per cui ad evitare di far alzare molto il conto....se non siete più che esperti....Oppure non vi interessa risparmiare.....Fatevi aiutare...Lo faranno con simpatica competenza.....berrete ottimo vino a prezzi accessibili.....

Una nota....Parcheggio comodo nella vicina piazza Roma....Comunale a pagamento con molti posti per disabili

Più vicino difficile parcheggiare.....ma è una distanza minima...

Ho elencato alcuni piatti....Tutti buoni...come richiesto dal sistema....in realtà in tanti anni posso assicurare che tutto è ottimo....
