Cycling heaven! We arrived quite late, around 9pm and were greeted by a very nice waitress who spoke Czech. We really didn't expect that! We were given excellent beer, and permission to sleep on the meadow right in front of the place. In addition, free showers and toilets were available. In the morning we enjoyed a very good, sweet breakfast, good quality coffee. It couldn't have been better. At least six stars out of five and milou...

No words. This is just everything life on the bike is about. Good people putting effort in making a small hub for bikers passing by and making this magical valley just sparkle a little more. Paradise on earth, Chiusaforte per siempre.

“Just one drink” became “let’s have dinner here” to “you can put your tent here for free and have a hot shower for some spare change”.

Tappa obbligatoria per chi pedala sulla Alpe Adria, una delle più belle ciclabili di tutta Europa. Il posto è una vecchia stazione adibita a ristoro, semplice e con prezzi buoni. Ci sono bagni e anche una doccia. Ma la cosa che mi è piaciuta di più è il fatto che ci si può accampare per la notte nell'ampio prato antistante, basta comprargli la cena e si può dormire e anche farsi la doccia. Credo che abbiano anche qualche stanza da affittare. Se dovete organizzare l'itinerario è utile sapere che questo può risultare l'unico posto per dormire (soprattutto in tenda) nell'arco di vari chilometri, per esempio noi siamo arrivati alle 17 e per trovare un altro posto libero o campeggio avremmo dovuto fare altri 30km, allora abbiamo deciso di fermarci, goderci il posto e chiaccherare con altri cicloturisti, esperienza fantastica!!
