Ristorante Albergo Il Pozzetto — Restaurant in Città della Pieve

We checked in after a long day of travel. Owner greeted us and told us don't worry about checking in. He and his Mom, grabbed our luggage, and started up the stairs to the Inn portion of the building.Rooms were cure, and very functional. Airconditioning worked great.

After a short respite, we went down for dinner. The the Owner/Chef came to our table to sit down, explain the menu and plan sevelal courses for our dinner.

Every dish was beyond great. Service was prompt. After a two hour meal, we were off to bed.

The Owner/Chef explained that what ever time we would like to come down for our included breakfast was fine. Even if it was noon. Then gave us 4 bottles of water to take to our rooms.

We are staying in a Villa in the area for two weeks. We will certainly be back many times before we head back home.

We have eaten here many time over the past 2 weeks. We celebrated a Birthday and Fathers Day with special menus prepared by the Owner/Chef. Each time he sat down qith us and planned our meals ahead of time.

Tonight, sadly it is our last night before we head home. Naturally we are here for our final...

Not worth the stop. We waited on our order for 40minutes while they served everybody else seated after us. When they brought food it was almost completely cold which means they probably forgot about us, it wasn't busy and I ordered Tagliatelle with truffles. The pasta used wasn't tagliatelle and had few crumbs of truffles in butter. So waiting time too long, food not good. +the way they respond to reviews that are not positive??? So many beautiful places, kind people and delicious food in Italy this restaurant is not...

Alla prima esperienza in questo Ristorante devo dire che non è andata bene. Servizio educato e cortese ma molto lento, tempi di attesa più lunghi della media e quello che ho ordinato aveva problemi importanti. Un antipasto di semplici crostini con patè di fegatini: il patè buono ma messo su dei pezzetti di pane piccoli e sottili che nel bruscarli sono ovviamente diventati davvero talmente duri che si è compromesso il risultato finale complessivo. Un secondo di Ossobuco di Chianina: buono fino al terzo boccone poi la quantità di sale è venuta fuori talmente prorompente che non ho potuto continuare a mangiarlo e l'ho praticamente lasciato quasi tutto. In tutto ciò né il cameriere né il titolare (e Chef) che sono venuti al tavolo ed hanno entrambi visto lasciato il piatto praticamente quasi pieno hanno domandato se fosse successo qualcosa. Inoltre ho anche capito che non è consuetudine dello Chef assaggiare le preparazioni prima di farle uscire altrimenti un piatto così non lo avrei ricevuto (e tengo a precisare che anche chi era a cena con me ha assaggiato la pietanza ed ha riscontrato che era davvero troppo salata pertanto, non si tratta di un mero gusto o sensazione personale). Quindi, al momento il giudizio non può essere certamente positivo ma ritornerò sicuramente una seconda volta sia perché mi è stato parlato bene di questo locale sia perché un errore una volta ci può anche stare: vedremo se riuscirò a cambiare opinione e rivalutare le 2☆...
