We had heard locally that the restaurant of Poderaccio Alto was excellent, so we decided to book and try it out. It was a wonderful experience! ||On arrival we were warmly greeted by Roberto, the owner. He explained that guests normally ate together at a table hosted by himself and Rebecca his wife, although we could eat separately if we preferred. We decided to join the table and were really pleased we made that decision. Roberto is a very accomplished host, skilfully and discretely getting the conversation going and moving easily between English and Italian to include everyone. Some may feel a little daunted by this prospect, but I would thoroughly recommend this aspect of the experience.||The meal itself is a set menu, which varies from day to day, so it is a good idea to ask in advance and book according to your preference. All the dishes were cooked by Rebecca using their own produce where possible. The antipasta included their own prosciutto (yes they keep their own pigs!) which was one of the best I have tasted, melt-in-the-mouth delicious. The home-made pasta course was maltagliati with fresh tomatoes full of the flavour of Umbrian sunshine. The main course a Tuscan roast pork, with roasted home grown vegetables. and finally a desert of zuppa ingles (trifle),||All-in-all this was an excellent and unique dining experience, which I would thoroughly recommend. Just remember to book a few days in advance. Tip: Thursday nights are pizza with a tasting of local beers. I intend to give this a go on...

Read moreWe had the most wonderful time at this beautiful Agriturismo. Rebecca and Roberto are incredibly warm and gracious hosts who immediately made us feel at home. Their genuine hospitality and thoughtful presence created such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We loved our daily interactions and it's their care and attention that makes this such a special place.
The Agriturismo has beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds. Our room had a balcony, which was great to enjoy the stunning sunsets and views. The pool area was also beautifully situated with plenty of comfortable loungers and enough space in the shade. Another highlight for me were their sweet dogs who I enjoyed to greet and pet each day.
We highly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of the property, but the food deserves a special mention. Both breakfast and dinner were exceptional. Every meal was prepared with so much care, and dining here in the evening became a highlight of our stay. We wholeheartedly recommend making dinner reservations during your visit!
Without a doubt, we’d highly recommend staying here. We cannot...
