We got there after seeng the place on agriturismo.it and booking it by phone! The booking was with half board... The restautrant for the first night was not open so we were sent in Connonato to have dinner at a restaurant also owned by the family. Delicious and the wine selection was good. The second and third night we dined at Cascina where we enjoyed a Maciot Nobiolo wine, produced nearby by the same family. The food was also great, with raw beef as antipasto! Sleep quality good. The only thing that was unexpected was when we had to pay and discovered that the price we believed to be half board, did not include the dinner. So, we paid it separately. It was not expensive, but ever since we confirm our reservations and prices not only by phone, but also by email. Advice: if you go there, visit also the Maciot winery and leave with as many bottles as you can afford. It's a good try! And do go for the raw beef! It is delicious! For the breakfast, do not expect much! Apart from a local made cheese which is above the average, the bread slices are left over...

Read moreWe had an amazing lunch at Cascina Rosengana today, right before embarking on a truffle hunt. The food was so enticing that I forgot to take pictures until we had taken some bites (and buried the white truffle within the pasta to enhance the flavor of the pasta). The highlight of the meal was that tajarin pasta with white truffle, the agnolotti pasta (little raviolis stuffed with fresh beef), and a generous cone of beef tartare that was accompanied by gorgonzola cheese crumble and an egg/tuna spread. Amazing quality, using farm fresh organic ingredients, and very reasonably priced. I wish I were a local so I could dine here on a regular basis!! At their shop I bought some small bottles of grappa as gifts for my friends back in the states. Thank you to Alessio, whose family owns the business, for making our meal so memorable. My son and I really enjoyed the food and your suggestion of drink, and can’t wait...
