Bar Anais - nuova gestione — Restaurant in Cogne

A charming spot with a nice atmosphere, but we left with mixed feelings. Based on other reviews, the owner seems to be very friendly – especially if you order generously or go for the more expensive options. That wasn’t quite our experience.

A small tip: I understand that card payments come with extra costs for the business, but as a customer, it’s simply convenient to pay by card – even if the bill is under €10. Refusing card payments in such cases can come across as unwelcoming.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The owner was unbelievably rude and offensive from the moment we walked in. Instead of welcoming us, he pressured us to keep ordering more food like we weren’t spending enough already. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and downright insulting. The attitude completely ruined the meal. I will never come back here, and I strongly suggest avoiding this place at all costs. We stumbled across this small location whilst trying to find shelter from the rain and WOW, lovely little surprise!

The panini's on offer are VERY generous in size and they have a wonderful selection of local craft beers.

The staff and locals were very friendly and it felt like we were enjoying a snack and beer in somebody's home.
