We are living in the Madonie and we would not recommend this place. Whe made a reservation at 13.00, when we walked into the restaurant we were the first and they there where 4 people staring at us and not saying a word. We really felt like we walked into the wrong place... untill we told them we had a reservation and then they became a bit more friendly. We ordered as antipasti a carpaccio and a antipasto degustazione, the owner said we shouldnt do this but we needed to try they're special artisjok and after that the degustazione. So we thought it was instead of the carpaccio. (My partner is sicilian so no mistakes in language possible). But in the end we got it all... The startes where nice but a bit overpriced though, especially because half of the degustazione was deep-fried. For main we had the manzo tagliata and a pasta. The manzo was almost cold and contained pieces of bone and the pasta had a very sour aftertaste so I could not enjoy it. When we got the bill we where shocked by the price, 80 euro total... even for 2 amari they charged us 8 euro, normally it would be half of it. After paying we left and no one of the staff said any thanks or goodbye. There are so many more places in this area where the quality is better, the prices more low and the staff...
Read moreThe venue is well located just outside the town it offers nice landscapes viewing and it is immersed amongst the green Mediterranean vegetation. Staff were friendly, smiling kind and very helpful with our requests. Unfortunately the venue doesn’t offer any activities so we had to sort out our plan for the stay by ourselves. We spent one night there, our room was clean and well presented with a decent double bed and two single beds. Even though the double was quite comfortable the two ones were noisy so every time you was moving springs bed were creaking. On top of that, the room was located next the restaurant’s dining hall and we couldn’t sleep well until all the customers left. Doors and windows didn’t keep noises and customers voices away because they were very fragile, a very disappointed situation. You could even hear customers walking around and when they were using the toilet. Food is fresh but nothing special, tasty without the sprinkle. Pizza is nice and well cooked and they have a good selection of wines. I don’t think we will...

We came to Casale Drinzi three times in just four days – that alone says a lot. The food is everything you hope for in Italian cuisine: authentic, full of flavor, and deeply rooted in local tradition.
Their homemade pasta – especially the white ragù and the cacio e pepe with truffle – was simply perfect. They also serve excellent grilled meats, like tender pork ribs and dry-aged regional cuts that are full of flavor and expertly prepared.
Everything is freshly made, with many ingredients coming straight from their own production – including their wonderful olive oil and homemade limoncello.
The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, and the new terrace offers a breathtaking view – especially at sunset.
If you’re staying in Cefalù, do yourself a favor and make the trip up here. Just be sure to...
