Disappointing experience at La Meridiana

We were a large group — 19 adults, 2 children, and a baby — and every single one of us had an extremely negative experience. The service was disorganized, slow, and clearly unprepared to handle a group, even though we had a reservation. The owner was rude and unfriendly, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere right from the start.

The prices are abusive and misleading. Truly outrageous.

The food was ordinary, nothing memorable. Service was very slow, and it was obvious they were understaffed. A place that presents itself as a quality restaurant should, at the very least, treat its customers with respect.

I definitely do not recommend this place. There are plenty of better options in Como with friendlier service, fair prices, and...

Wir waren zum Mittagessen in diesem Restaurant. Ambiente ist gut, allerdings entspricht das Essen eher dem Kantine Niveau... Seebas mit Zucchini und Kartoffeln... Alles war vorgekocht, bzw. vorgebraten, sodass Fischfleich bis zu Mitte bräunlich war... So musste ich Zucchini, die den Fisch deckten komplett wegnehmen, weil sie braun waren. Das benutze Fett war auch nicht frisch. Man hatte dieser ganz fauler Geschmack im Mund, vor allem von Kartoffeln. Die Kinder hatten einfache Pasta mit Ragu und es war ok. Zu weich gekocht, aber ok... Dessert war ein Witz! Pannakota kommt auf dem großen Teller einfach so wie ein Plumps aus der Dose. Lieblos serviert, d.h. ohne irgendeine Deco oder Sause und das noch für satte 8 €! Insgesamt haben wir für 2 Erwachsene +2 Kinder 124€ bezahlt! Für Hauptgericht + Dessert für jeden. Tiramisu bei den Kindern sah auch komisch aus. Statt übliche Tiramisu Creme wurde Schokoladenmus verwendet... Also für uns sind 124€ für Mensaessen zu viel! Sehr Schade! Der Platz ist ruhig und schön. Man könnte wirklich viel mehr daraus machen... Wir sind ins Restaurant gefahren weil so viele begeisterte Bewertungen bei Google gelesen haben... Wir können die positive Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen! Kein Qualität! Keine Frische! Total überteuert!

What a delight!!! We had the most enjoyable evening, and we are looking forward to come back as soon as possible. Elegant and casual at the same time; one can tell food is prepared with experience and care. This is not a fast food joint or a tourist trap, but a food experience.
