The place looks beautiful and the food was very promising but…

Once I entered I asked where I could sit and a polite gentleman behind the bar told me to pick a place where I liked. Once I sat on a table a waitress came to clean the table of 2 coffee cups of the previous clients and suddenly told me in a “teacher’s tone” that the table is reserved! Hilarious! Obviously she did not like that I was alone and preferred to put other clients. Instead of asking politely if I could better sit at another place she started to argue once I told her that there was no reservation label and that her other colleague informed me that I could sit also there. She continued in a rude tone instead of politely finding me an alternative and explaining that she may needed the table, so I just stood up to leave telling her that she has no manners and as a client I expect a better tone of voice. Then the “responsible” person came to add “My place, my rules here!”. I was already walking outside, as this tone is not attractive to my manner. I wouldn’t bother to sit at a restaurant where I was unwelcome, just due to the fact I was alone and they would not appreciate a single person’s bill; that level of being pathetic.

Please note, the place looks beautiful and the food looked also stunning; that said just ignore my experience and visit it. You may have better chances as clientele and they may have changed their manners...

After discovering this place last year, we are coming here almost every day when skiing in this resort. Me an my friend are pizza freaks, tried pizzas all over Italy and all over Europe, and this is among the best pizzas we have tried. The dough is absolutely fabulous, and we agreed that the Sella pizza (with prosciutto crudo, gorgonzola and arugula) is absolutely top of the line. The flavour is so full and literally blows your mind. Meanwhile, the prices are very reasonable and the staff was in our experience very friendly, unlike some comments I have seen. ASSOLUTAMENTE DA EVITARE. Ci siamo fermati di rientro verso il Passo Sella. La baita è proprio sulla strada sterrata su cui passano pochi mezzi ma questi creano un bel po' di polvere. Gli ombrelloni blu sponsorizzati azzerano ogni tentativo di dare un aspetto tipico al posto e le caprette all'ingresso sono sì tenute abbastanza pulite ma il caratteristico odore non è il miglior biglietto da visita. Il panorama è comunque bellissimo. Ordinato un bombardino, senza infamia e senza lode e una cioccolata calda con rum. Quest'ultima si è verificata in realtà una tazza di acqua e Nesquik, senza nessuna traccia di rum. Al momento del conto la cosa è stata fatta notare al ché l'addetto ha assicurato di aver messo in conto una cioccolata normale ma a conti fatti ci ha fatto pagare quella col rum. Ora, non è neanche per 1.20 eur di differenza, non è per i prezzi esagerati che oramai da queste parti vanno di moda anche dove non c'è nessuna fatica a fare rifornimenti ma se mi porti un bicchiere d'acqua sporca, me la fai pagare 5 euro e mi prendi pure in giro il minimo che posso fare è consigliare a chi legge di fermarsi altrove, con pochi passi da questa baita ci sono posti decisamente migliori (provati nelle precedenti escursioni). Per me valete meno di zero. Preso atto della risposta dove la proprietà insiste nella presa in giro del conto, mi vedo per precisione in dovere di far quadrare i conti, come da vostro listino: bombardino 5 euro, cioccolata calda 3.80 euro, cioccolata con rum 5 euro, gelato dei miei due figli 4 euro l'uno. Abbiamo speso 18 euro. Nessuno di noi ha ordinato le suddette bibite con panna, debbo pertanto dedurre dalla specifica nella risposta, che uno viene da voi, ordina una cosa e voi gli portate (e gli fate pagare) quello che vi pare. Io continuerò a fare le mie vacanze dove credo, visto anche che, fortunatamente, in tanti anni che frequento le vostre bellissime montagne, sia d'estate che d'inverno, mai avevo trovato tanta insufficienza.
