Although the food was lovely and the servers were incredibly attentive and kind AT FIRST, I suffered a severe allergic reaction because of blatant negligence. I would not be writing this review had I received an apology or some form of compensation/discount, but sadly the servers opted instead to avoid our table at all costs after I vomited profusely in the restroom. From the very beginning, I made it clear to the staff that I was a vegetarian and also had a nut allergy. My vegetarianism was well accommodated, adjusting the tasting menu accordingly. My nut allergy was noted, but subsequently ignored. I received and ate a piece of bread filled with walnuts. After I ran to the bathroom to vomit and took antihistamines, the servers realised their mistake. They began avoiding us and even taking drinks of wine before approaching the table. One waitress even began laughing when she served us our food. I had to make several trips to the restroom to vomit, meanwhile the servers stood outside the door, watching as I exited, but not saying a thing and pretending as though nothing had happened. I really would have expected more from a Michelin star restaurant, especially on my two year anniversary. Deeply frustrated and...
Read moreI dined here with my partner tonight hoping for an evening of excellent food and service, we only received the former. We made it explicit that both of us had severe nut allergies this was taken well and we were assured of the upmost care. The bread arrived to start our evening and some of breads contained large chunks of walnuts. My partner had consumed a large part of one these and had to excuse herself for an extended period of time. The servers made it clear they understood what had happened, but for the duration of the entire evening they refused to take accountability for this. One of the servers even laughed at my partner upon her arrival back to the table after leaving to be sick. Attached below are imaged of the large chunks of walnuts you would hope a Michelin star restaurant would be aware they put in their “baked by us today” bread. The lack of responsibility taken and avoidance of us following this incident...
Read moreThe restaurant, the service and the food are fine. It’s just not the level of a Michelin star restaurant at all. Everything was average at most. The food was nothing exciting. There wasn’t the level of care and attention of a Michelin star restaurant in terms of service. And it’s grossly overpriced for what it is. I’ve been to many one Michelin star restaurants in Italy, France and london so I had certain expectations, none of which were met. The shorter tasting menu was around EUR100 for 3 courses which is very bad value for money. The longer tasting menu has so many seafood dishes which makes absolutely no sense for a restaurant in the mountains.
The level of food is trattoria (not sure if it’s the level of an osteria tbh). It’s not a bad restaurant - but definitely don’t go there expecting a Michelin...
