Ristorante Gallo Cedrone — Restaurant in Comunità montana Alta Valtellina

Been there a couple of times in the last days. Looked nice and calm in the evening for a coffee or in the afternoon, but a short lunch stop changed completely my mind.

At lunch when we paid 2 euro for "pane e coperto" per person for a short snack (at 11:45 - plate of fries for a kid or a small salsiccia sandwich), without either getting any sauces or bread, clean table cloth and cutlery on the table. We had to clean up the table ourself at the beginning in addition. I wouldn't mind paying for the service if you provide a service.

I understand 'pane e coperto' is a very polarising issue in Italy. On their side the price is clearly stated on the menu, on the other side the same menu is used in the afternoon and they don't charge it for a plate of fries and a beer. Got one of the two "coperti" waived after I complained.

I've got a 2 dl glass of beer while the menu says 3 dl. Owner objected that the full glass is 3 dl. Too bad beer had foam. Stupid me I didn't take a picture as I realised it after I've taken a sip. If a beer glass has a capacity of 0.2 l (capacita di servizio) you can't pass it for a 0.3 l. It's really border-line.

We asked a can of coke (3.5 euro), got the 4d l glass with a lot of ice (and 50 cent more).

This gave me the feeling they were trying to scrape the bottom of the barrel from everyone.

As the place got crowded the owner (or manager ?) was shouting multiple time at his employees for being sleepy and lazy. Some other employee shouted back "non si puo' lavorare cosi'" ("we can't work like that"). I know it's not my business, but the atmosphere was a bit tense.

Close to the Gallo Cedrone Ski-school, so you kind of pass from there if you you have kids having ski lessons.

They don’t tell that they take 2 euro per person for service. They have bread and service in the middle of the menu (how I supposed to know?). 2 euro. They brought 1 plate with bread but took 8 euro.

I ordered polenta with eggs (waitress even spell it in Italian). They brought it. But in the bill we found polenta with eggs and salami. Cashier (very aggressive woman) said that we ate it so we don’t have proof. I never gave our children salami. Should I make a photo of a dish every time I eat?

When I said I will pay for what I ordered, woman said “I call police, my good friend is working there”. What’s this? Threat? Corruption? I said “ok, call them”. But she didn’t. At the end she made discount.

My opinion: they think that people are resting and they won’t check the bill. But 25% were very notable.

Overall, the food was not good. Never come...

Cenone di capodanno Bormio 2021/2022 "lasciate ogni speranza o voi che entrate..." Per la modica cifra di 150 euro il cui presente e la sua compagnia di 10 persone, hanno prenotato un tavolo al Ristorante Gallo Cedrone, con l'intento di trascorrere la serata dell' ultimo dell' anno in una tipica baita Valtellinese.. nel pacchetto (cena e serata) ci era stato promesso una cena con diverse prelibatezze tipiche e km 0 della Valtellina, nonché un giro sul loro gatto delle nevi/motoslitta.. non si è visto nulla di tutto ciò.L 'organizzatore della serata (pr) un certo Paolo non si è mai visto, non ha mai ha risposto a nessuna nostra mail informativa, siamo stati contattati solo telefonicamente. non era presente neanche il 31 durante la sua Serata organizzata. ma partiamo dal principio. Al nostro arrivo, non ci è stato controllato il Green Pass, e siamo stati reindirizzati non all'interno del locale ma in una sorta di "veranda"/ serra tutta appannata, con una buona dose di condensa gocciolante(ci era stato detto che avremmo cenato all' interno). Ci hanno fatto accomodare su delle comodissime panche di legno senza schienale, e da li è partita la cena. voto alla location.. DIESCI!!!( vedi foto allegate). il vero dramma però è stato il cibo.. PESSIMO. Tra le varie portate erano inclusi affettati in scatola, tortino di piselli maleodorante, sciatt congelati, un primo piatto a base di risotto ai "gamberi", il quale è stato servito con solo la coda e il carapace(vedi foto). tra la confusione generale, le portate mancanti l'esplosione di petardi a pochi passi dall'entrata della serra , abbiamo provato a contattare l'organizzatore (Paolo) e.. tutto tacque.... ci è stato riferito che era in vacanza... Ci è stato controllato il Green Pass verso le 22:30 soltanto, all'arrivo della seconda portata: filetto e salmone in crosta di pistacchi con verdure ahahahaha si va beh fresche... immangiabile anche questo. allo spettacolo pirotecnico hanno provveduto gli ospiti, un gruppo di ragazzi sui vent'anni con le tasche cariche di petardi. "mezzanotte a Falluja" ndr. Il brindisi di mezzanotte non si è visto come neanche il panettone. abbiamo lasciato il locale con l'amaro in bocca per una serata neanche lontanamente si avvicinava a quella pronosticata.
