La Campagnola Trattoria-Pizzeria — Restaurant in Comunità Montana del Piambello

Returning from Switzerland at a late hour, a quick search on Google Maps delivered us to this restaurant. Nestling in a residential area with an abundance of outdoor tables (and the added plus of a mosquito zapper), we were seated quickly by a friendly waitress. This is an ideal space for large groups, families and children.

Obviously our choice was pizza to satisfy our hunger pang after our long walk around the lake of Lugano. We were, furthermore, swept away with the difference in price between a Swiss-priced pizza and an Italian-priced pizza 🍕! Food was whisked to our table in no time. Amazingly quick service.

My pizza had a generous, pillowy crust, but for me a Marinara should have 'de rigeur' the dramatic taste of garlic 🧄. This Marinara was bland... My eating companion's Diavola was good though!

This family owned restaurant is an absolute must when in Varese area!

We were sitting outside on the beautiful mediterranean terrace, the ambience is authentic and great. The staff is very quick and friendly. Especially Matteo was very helpful as he could recommend us dishes on English, because we unfortunately don't speak italian.

The menu is only available in italian, which isn't much of a problem. I ordered a Pizza (crudo e tartufo) without even knowing what Pizza it would be and it was definitely the best Pizza I've ever had!!! Sooo delicious, that I will absolutely come back to Italy sooner than later.

All in all a perfect italian restaurant! Thank you so much for this...

Dopo anni sono ritornato alla Campagnola e devo dire che ci si trova e si mangia ancora molto bene. Abbiamo preso il menù a tema Valtellina e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti, gustosi gli Sciatt e molto buoni i pizzoccheri che ci hanno portato in abbondanza, inoltre davvero eccezionale il rosè sfuso che servito fresco va giù che è un piacere. Gli addetti al servizio di sala sono stati carini, gentili e veloci nel servizio e per tutte le richieste. I bagni sono tenuti puliti e in buone condizioni. La sala dove eravamo ben ordinata e con i tavoli distanziati, ma purtroppo piena di gente chiassosa e rumorosa (c'era anche una festa di compleanno nella sala accanto), insomma si faceva fatica a sentire chi avevo seduto di fronte. Da segnalare un parcheggio non molto grande ovviamente pieno, ma comunque ci sono altri parcheggi liberi nell'immediate vicinanze. Nel complesso ci siamo trovati tutti molto bene e sicuramente...
