My review is both for the b&b and the restaurant. We stayed 4 nights in July. We had a room unfortunately without lake view (they were fully booked) but there was a big balcony shared with one more room. The room is basic but ok! Closet, desk, good bathroom. The bed is WAY too soft, VERY uncomfortable in my taste. The AC is very good, cool and without a sound. No fridge which could be useful. The best thing about the hotel is the pool club Giardino Marilago. It’s included in the room rate. You choose your sun beds and you have them the whole week. Pool, bar, the most beautiful view. Although food at pool is awful. The service is uneven. The staff at check in and restaurants are sweet and helpful but the owners are rude. The lady looks irritated at all times and refuses to speak English. the man has his office opposite our room and sits there smoking, walks around the corridors smoking which smells in our room. Not very nice! According to the staff, they only have one staff member speaking English. And no English menus. They are open for lunch until 2 pm, we came 1.40 but we’re told it was closed. There are no other restaurants up on this hill so we had to eat the pool club and their food is disgusting. We had dinner at the restaurant once, the pizzas are ok! A little tasteless but not the worst nor the best. When the waitress opened our wine she smelled the cork and said it tasted funny. We trusted her, tasted the wine and thought maybe it tasted a little weird. Later she came back saying the wine is ok so we had to trust her and drink it. Nothing really wrong with the wine but it was not so tasty and we thought it was a bit weird of her saying at first it was not good and then changing her mind...

Sulzano is not the most fun or cosy village around Iseo but the hotel and pool club has gorgeous views over the lake and Monte Isola. Actually I would recommend staying in some other village like Iseo or Clusane (they have better...

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel.

On the one side, the hotel has a gorgeous view, an amazing swimming pool, great bar, free parking, late check-in and decent rooms.

On the other hand, except for one person no one spoke English. We were locked out in the evening although Booking says no curfew. There was no Wi-Fi. The staff was not very friendly - we even needed a special permission from the owner to visit the pool although we were guests of his hotel, and we could not even understand him since he did not speak any English. They cleaned our room on check-out day and left it open to a shared balcony - imagine our horrified faces when we entered the room. They apologized and promised to take...

Best ambiance and food so far on Lago d'Iseo. About a 25 minute walk uphill from the boat landing. Booked for 7:30. Prime seats were taken by 7:45 PM. The walk has street lights for the first 75%. We had an LED torch just to be sure for the way back to the Sulzano dock.

We had the fixed three course meal plus dessert. One was fish the other was beef. Very good food. Presentation even more outstanding. Service was impeccable.

With a bottle of water and one bottle of wine the bill was 99.5 Euro.
