Steps from the Sensole ferry stop on Monte Isola (and away from the bulk of the tourists), this simple boutique hotel (with two restaurants) is clean and dog friendly with a young, hardworking staff and a bit of a hipster vibe. All is as pictured on their website. The breakfast here is delicious and done in a special way. They also do a great aperitivo and pizza. Giovanni, the owner, helped us figure out where to get where we wanted to go each day of our visit. FYI: There is no lift and many flights of stairs to climb if you have a deluxe lake view room like we did or want to enjoy the rooftop terrace depicted on their website (with tables and beautiful panoramic views). If you’re low maintenance and looking for a laid back hotel in a quaint village this is a fun spot to consider. We would...
Read moreWhat a fantastic place ! The young owner only opened this hotel in May after decorating it mostly himself and completely picking all the interior decorations. The breakfast there is the best we’ve had on our current tour around the lakes and around Verona. The coffee, freshly squeezed juice, stunning home made breads and croissants, any kind of eggs etc where all delicious and included in the price. We ate at the upstairs restaurant on the first night we stayed. The food was just magnificent as was the service! The food was was than the Michelin star recommended restaurant that we ate at a day later. They also have a private beach/ garden area about 100 metres away that have huge bean bags to lay on when the weather is good.Well done Giovanni ! Congratulations to you and your...
Read moreWe spent a great week here last year in August. Giovanni and his team are the best! The rather small hotel offers a really warm, personal and cozy atmosphere. The food (especially the breakfast) is great and prices for dinner and in-between snacks are reasonable. Passing the restaurant‘s guests in my speedos on my way to the private beach of the hotel (just a couple of meters away) made me feel really privileged. The island, the lake and the surroundings are great too. You can go hike, rent a bike or a canoe or explore the many towns and villages on the lake‘s shore which you can reach conveniently by ferry. There are so many things to do! So - absolute recommendation! Go have the Italian Summer vacation of...
