We had the pleasure of dining at Bistrò daMelo and left absolutely delighted. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, perfect for a relaxed yet refined dinner. The staff was friendly, attentive, and highly professional, making us feel at ease from the very beginning.

We ordered two filet steaks and two sliced steaks, all perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The attention to ingredient quality and the chef’s expertise were evident in every bite.

The wine selection was also excellent, with carefully chosen labels that paired wonderfully with our meal. The wine we enjoyed truly enhanced the overall dining experience.

What a great find in Maccagno. My wife and I had been planning to visit Bistro da Melo for sometime and we were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent. The menu is refreshingly different from others in area with some very interesting options. Our meals were delicious, from the unexpected 'amuse bouche' to the puddings - all were faultless. My seafood pasta was one of the best I've had and my wife's seabass was perfect. Our waitress was friendly and professional (and spoke excellent English) and chef Alex came out to the dining room a number of times to check that everyone was happy. On a visit to the charming town of Maccagno we chanced upon Cafe Melo so we booked for our party the following evening. Encouragingly busy with locals we found our table beautifully laid up and ready. Our food was professionally presented and the attentive staff were friendly and accommodating. We were celebrating our friends birthday and to our absolute delight the kitchen presented our group with a delicious birthday cake.
