Ristorante Pizzeria Al Lago — Restaurant in Comunità Montana Valli del Verbano

This restaurant was recommended to us, but didn’t meet our expectations. When we got there, it took a long time before we were seen, even spoken to, and seated. After we got a table, it then again took a long time before we were able to make our first order. We’re not impatient people and can tell when a restaurant is busy, but other tables were helped before ours. At one time the waiter even stood at our table and just before we could order he walked away to another table (Italians) that caught his attention. Since the waiter didn’t speak English we tried to order in our best Italian and used both a English and Italian menu side by side, where we pointed to the dishes we wanted (plus saying them in Italian). Unfortunately, something went wrong and we got a whole different dish than we ordered. After telling the waiter this, in stead of apologizing or anything he just got mad at us for ordering the wrong thing. We also added some extras to our order but never received them and asked to get 2 dishes at the same time but still received them separately. This all was such a shame, since we were planning on ordering a lot and staying a long time, so spending money. After this the waiter just acted very strange and our experience at this restaurant crashed down. The food was okay, service wasn’t even there. Probably a decent restaurant if...

Totalmente negativa, ci sono stato in compagnia di un'amica con l'intenzione di passare una piacevole serata,dopo aver prenotato nel pomeriggio di oggi x la sera del 24/06/2023, siamo stati piazzati su una balconata stretta dove i camerieri rischiano ad ogni passaggio di tirare qualche gomitata, arrivano le prime portate, 2 cruditè di mare, dove mancavano alcuni elementi indicati in menù, i gamberoni descritti erano gamberi di terza con neanche pulito il budello, (io li uso solo x fare il sugo, x altro non servono), fatto presente il problema, prendono i piatti e hai gamberi come x magia scompare la testa, nel frattempo in un tavolino di circa 65x65 cm arrivano altri due piatti grandi uno della focaccia e uno del insalata misto mare, mettici il cestino del pane, due brocche nino e acqua e i 4 bicchieri relativi, non c'era il posto x le posate, chiesto gentilmente di essere spostati in un tavolo più grande, ci spostano davanti l'ingresso, ancora non avevamo assaggiato nulla, tranne qualcosa della cruditè veniamo assaliti da moscerini e zanzare oltre che nei piatti, naso, occhi e gola pieni, dopo la quarta volta chenchiedoneel titolare, finalmente si presenta, comunicato il disagio che si stava vivendo nel suo locale ,ha cercato di minimizzare chiedendo se volevamo essere spostati all'interno con l'intenzione di ripresentarci gli stessi piatti con i moscerini morti all'interno, non dimostrando nessuna intenzione di risolvere il problema, ma con toni arroganti e maleducati cominciavano ad andare in un altro ristorante, alche ho comunicato di andarmene e di non avere l'intenzione di pagare il conto visto che nemmeno il vino siamo riusciti a degustare visto che anche nei bicchieri e nella brocca c'erano presenti insetti, uscendo ho avvertito la caserma di Varese dei CC,ndincio ch'era accaduto e della mia intenzione di non pagare x un servizio scadente, portate non in linea col menù e con il prezzo richiesto, ma soprattutto l'arroganza e la maleducazione che la fanno da padrone non le tollero. Service was bad. Waiter was busy with every (italian/local) table except ours. You could see he was working hard, but he was unfriendly and something was off. He didn’t speak English very well, which of course is not an issue. But he didn’t even know what ‘Ichnusa Non-Filtrada’ was (pronounced in Italian).

Pizza capricciosa with artichoke still had the hard (uneatable) parts of the leaves on them.

The extremely bad & unfriendly service combined with the not so good food made the whole experience not something worth...
