Ristorante La Cacciatora — Restaurant in Comunità Rotaliana-Königsberg

This is the 6th time we’re staying at La Cacciotora during the past 20 years. I have to say, this is my favorite hotel, and with 100+ days of traveling per year, I’ve seen a bit. Of course, for skiing, the hotel is perfect, with a short walk to the lifts and then, within minutes, you’re on the slopes. But what really makes this hotel so extraordinary is the family that runs it, their commitment, warmth and attention to detail is out of this world. Also, the staff is just first class, really nice folks. And then there’s the great food, the luxurious wellness facilities, the super cool wine cellar… I could go on and on. Overall, if you’re coming to Alba or Canazei, this is the top of the shelf go-to-hotel, you will not, never, regret...

Mi dispiace dover scrivere una recensione negativa, ma la mia esperienza con La Cacciatora è stata davvero deludente. Avevo telefonato per prenotare un tavolo per una persona e, dopo aver ricevuto una conferma chiara e rassicurante al telefono, mi sono sentito tranquillo e ho proceduto a cancellare una prenotazione che avevo altrove, sicuro che non ci sarebbero stati problemi.

Purtroppo, la tranquillità è durata poco. Nel giro di poche ore, ricevo una email dal ristorante in cui mi comunicano che, contrariamente a quanto mi era stato confermato telefonicamente, non possono accogliere la mia prenotazione per una sola persona. La motivazione? "Non accettiamo prenotazioni singole". Una politica che non mi era stata minimamente accennata al momento della conferma telefonica.

La cosa che più mi ha colpito è stata la totale mancanza di rispetto per il tempo e la fiducia che avevo riposto in loro. Non solo mi è stato detto che non c’era posto per me, ma nessun tentativo di risolvere la situazione o di offrire alternative. Mi sono trovato costretto a cercare un altro ristorante all'ultimo minuto, senza nemmeno una scusa adeguata da parte loro.

La gestione della comunicazione lascia davvero a desiderare. Non solo la prenotazione è stata annullata senza preavviso, ma l’intera vicenda è stata gestita con totale indifferenza e scarsa professionalità. Non posso che sconsigliare La Cacciatora a chiunque cerchi un posto che rispetti davvero i propri clienti. Se non si è in grado di gestire correttamente una semplice prenotazione telefonica, immagino che la qualità del servizio durante una cena non possa...

The staff here were dismissive and rude, and treated us with open disdain. Was it because we came with a voucher from Eurobike for a free pasta dish? Or because we looked flushed and tired from a morning riding our bikes in 32 degrees shadeless heat? Whatever their problem was, they made us feel extremely unwelcome from start to finish, and kept us waiting 30 minutes for the bill (we asked twice and eventually had to go to the till to pay). What a shame, as their chef cooked up one of the best lasagne dishes...
