Leon D'Oro — Restaurant in Corleone

Wanted to stay in Corleone just to say we have, did my research as you do & came across this lovely hidden of a gem hotel. We checked in & shown to our room by I think the owner, shame as she never spoke a word of English which we found a bit hard to communicate with her, but got there. Anyway we had a nice room, clean & tidy & quite big. We only had 1 night there so we had a walk to the quaint little town of Corleone, nothing much to do there but glad we did. We had dinner at the restaurant, which is downstairs in the hotel, you have to come out of the front door & walk round the corner, just underneath the hotel. We were taken to our table in this lovely, well set up family hotel. We had a lovely antipasti followed by a pasta dish each which was absolutely amazing, couldn't fault it at all.|Then came breakfast next morning & we were quite disappointed, there seemed to be a bit of everything but not what we expected after having such a lovely dinner the evening before, so think breakfast could be improved a little.|All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel if your staying...

Visited on business for a 2 night stop over.|It is near to the site I was visiting so seemed the obvious choice.|The room was fairly spacious with the usual amenities.||Word to the wise though there is no iron and ironing board in the room. No drama in the morning getting access to the laundry room to iron my shirt though. Even with my terrible Italian.|The bed was OK for me but some may find it hard.|The WiFi can be a bit hit and miss but more hit.|The staff are great considering I speak little or no Italian.|The restaurant downstairs was great. I enjoyed the food and the local wines.|Although Pizza was unavailable on the nights we were in the rest of the menu made up for it. One point I must raise, my colleague and I visited during a Sicilian holiday. We were the only guests in the hotel and the restaurant was kept open just for Us.
