Abbiamo cenato all'aperto, in un fantastico giardino alberato, atmosfera molto bella. Servizio molto gentile. Buoni i contorni.
AGGIORNAMENTO 31/07/25 Cena in viaggio.
Assolutamente raccomandato.
Dinner during a trip, as a couple.
We were passing by Cortona and decided to stop at La Braceria after seeing the reviews of Braciami Ancora. We dined outdoors in a fantastic tree-lined garden, a lovely atmosphere. The service was very friendly. I spoke with the owner and chef, Stellina, who was truly friendly and helpful. There's a wide selection of high-quality meats, both local and international. This time, we opted for a matured Porterhouse made from a Wagyu-Scottish cross. The meat has a substantial layer of fat: Stellina cut the meat and presented it to us before cooking, explaining that she would use some of the outer fat to flavor/season the meat. We agreed, and it was an excellent choice. The meat was served with some of the fat diced into small cubes, which gave a unique flavor to the already excellent meat. We also tried a carpaccio with mango, a bold but interesting combination. The side dishes are delicious. The tiramisu with cantucci and Vin Santo is unforgettable, not to be missed.
I recommend trying it and stopping to chat with Stellina; she'll instil in you her love for her business. The Chianina beef is a must-try, unique.
UPDATE 31/07/25 Dinner on a trip. They were very kind in welcoming us late, after we'd called ahead. We tried the simple tartare and the vacca Chianina, with Syrah wine. The warm welcome and attention to detail were confirmed. A true gem.

Read moreIm going to write it in English so that almost everybody can understand it.The place is in the heart of la Toscana and has the best meat i have ever tried, also they work with the Chianina cow meat, which is the gold for people that like red meat and one of the very most protected treasures of Italy. The service was awesome, the waiters were very nice and kind to us in every moment and answer all our questions. And the taste and flavour of the meat was just like an explosion in your mouth. Just go and see it for urselves, and dont think that is not a good restaurant because on the outside looks like kind of a normal or industrial place. It id just itself, and that is the best possible way it can be,i would give 20...
Read moreAfter a few disappointing dining experiences in Cortona and Arezzo, we ended up at La BraceriA without any previous recommendation. It ended up being our best dinner in this part of Toscana. Very gentle service, no arrogance and no rush, the lady was quite nice by explaining about the bisteca alla fiorentina. Food was delicious, and the alfresco dinner in the garden was very enjoyable on a warm summer evening. I’m glad we saw their outdoor on the road! Otherwise, we could have ended up in another tourist-trap inside the historical center in Cortona or Arezzo. Cheers to this...
