My husband and I stayed here for 5 nites. I wasn't excepting much but was pleasantly surprised. It is a small hotel about 10 minutes by car from Villasimius and about 10 minute walk to the beach (Campus beach, small stones and sand) where you have a private hotel area with free umbrella and beach lounges. Excellent service, nice girl at reception. Our room and bathroom was very basic but fine for a 3 star. It also had a lovely terrace with table and chairs. All rooms face the garden and swimming pool. The garden is well kept with beautiful plants, yes there is an area with sand which we didn't understand but the rest is great. Quiet and well kept, the pool is great too, just the right size. One negative is the lack of lounge chairs, only around 14 around the pool and twice we couldn't fine available ones which isn't acceptable. The breakfast area is next to the pool in a covered area. I would have expected more from this area which is 'sad and dated' with plastic glasses and plastic chairs tables..just not up to the level of the rest of the hotel. Aside letdown of breakfast we would definately return as very reasonable price in June compared to other hotels of this standard. There is also a bus service that runs every hour and takes you to all the principle stops in the area. costs 2 euro per ride and you don't have the hassle of looking for parking. We also ate at the hotel restaurant twice and found it excellent. we ate outside on covered patio. Very good food and service, for 2 price around 75-80 euros with house wine. a bit overpriced but the Whole area is. I would return but not in high season with...
Read moreHave been to Su Giganti for the third time over the last ten years. The property stays the same but everything else is downgraded. The hotel staff is amazing! Only two things to complain about: the pillows. They are all flattened and provide absolutely no support. Inexistent WIFi in our room… This year, I clearly see that the restaurant service is slow. Had to wait 50 min to place order after being seated with reservation. The speed limit apparently is only one person Alessandra takes orders and all other girls only delivered food… after 50 min waiting without even served water, Alessandra did not apologize instead provided an excuse that two big tables arrived together with us and she was occupied. The restaurant food is good but tiny portions for the price. Service is rude as they drop food pretending you are invisible. They avoid eye contact at all cost even during lunch when the restaurant is almost empty. Throw down the food and turn away in that instant.
Loved Su Giganti, but we will not...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel for one week in August. Our goal was to visit the beaches of southeast Sardinia and the location of the hotel was great. It has parking spaces. |The room was spacious and clean and the decoration was Sardinian style. |Breakfast was good but could have more variety. The view of the hotel from the breakfast area is really beautiful. The reception worked quite well and the employees were very nice. We ate dinner twice at the restaurant and it was real good (it’s better to make reservation). |From the hotel we could reach the beaches of Porto Sa Ruxi, Campulongu, Porto Giunco, Timi Ama, Punta Molentis, Cala Pira, Cala Sinzias, Scoglio di Peppino and many more in no more than 20 minutes by car. We could get to Villasimius center in 10 minutes. |We were really pleased with our stay and southeast Sardinia is a...
