Trattoria La Piccola — Restaurant in Cremona

If you don’t eat here you will miss out on true Italian cooking! We were travelling through and found this place on Google. I can’t understand how it’s not top of the list!! They only serve at lunchtime during the week, so we booked the day before and when we arrived they had a hand written menu for us in English. We arrived at noon and spent two hours eating the most amazing food! We had two plates of the tagliatelle ragu, one plate of melt in the mouth beef with mash and pork scallop with sliced potatoes, then tiramisu and coffee to finish. We also had one large beer and half litre of wine. Our bill was only €30! The place was buzzing with locals and even though they couldn’t speak English, they were all so friendly and such great fun, including our server. We couldn’t have asked for more from this place. Ci siamo stati oggi, un autentica trattoria Cremonese degli anni ottanta. I piatti sono preparati seguendo le tradizioni della cucina casalinga, un vero pregio per chi ama i sapori genuini. Il menu comprende un primo e secondo a scelta, tutto molto buono, il brasato con la polenta si distingue per la sua bontà e morbidezza, mentre il tiramisù fatto in casa è ottimo!
